Attending the Congress were comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU; comrade Vu Van Quan - Standing Member, Head of the Party Committee's Professional Department; comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong - Standing Member, Head of the Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of the Party Committee's Office and 21 party members of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Management Sciences.
In the context of Vietnam's increasingly deep international integration and under the strong impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Revolution 4.0), the requirements for political, ideological and professional tasks pose many responsibilities and a large workload for Party members of the Party Cell. In that context, the Congress assessed that the Party Cell has successfully completed the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Party Cell Congress for the 2017-2020 term with a high spirit of solidarity and unity among all Party members.
The Congress of the Party Cell of the Faculty of Management Sciences emphasized and affirmed the political mettle and maturity of the Party Cell, the Faculty and the Institute in the 2017-2020 term. This is a special political activity, an opportunity for the Party Cell to frankly acknowledge and evaluate the achievements and advantages that have been achieved, the remaining shortcomings, the advantages and difficulties, the opportunities and challenges, and draw lessons from them to propose directions, tasks and solutions to lead the unit to excellently complete the tasks of the 2020-2022 term and in the next period.
Based on the results achieved, with the philosophy "Promoting internal strength - Connecting external strength - Breakthrough development”, The Congress approved the general direction and goals for the 2020-2022 term as follows: The Party Cell continues to comprehensively lead the Faculty, Institute, and mass organizations to successfully implement all targets and tasks to improve the quality of training and scientific research to meet social needs and international integration; expand cooperation to develop and enhance the position of the Faculty and Institute; diversify financial resources, continue to modernize facilities and equipment; apply advanced university governance methods, strengthen discipline in school culture and office culture; continue to build and rectify the Party, enhance the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members and cadres, build a strong Party Cell, promote the comprehensive leadership role of the Party Cell; continue to innovate operating methods, promote the role of mass organizations in building and developing the Faculty and Institute.
The congress seriously and enthusiastically discussed the congress documents.
Contributing to the Political Report of the Party Cell, the Party members attending the congress had many comments and opinions on how to promote solidarity within the unit; opportunities and challenges regarding university autonomy, training human resources, enrollment, financial mechanisms for invited lecturers, continuing to maintain the high-quality bachelor's program in Management Science, etc.
Along with giving comments on the Political Report of the Party Cell, the delegates also had many comments on the Draft Political Report of the Party Executive Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities at the 28th Congress, term 2020-2025.
Comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Party Secretary spoke at the Congress
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Van Kim, Secretary of the School Party Committee, highly appreciated the Party Cell's spirit of daring to think, daring to do, and pioneering in training high-quality human resources for society. The Secretary directed the Party Cell to carry out the following tasks: completing new training programs ensuring high interdisciplinary from bachelor to master and doctoral levels; promoting the role of strong research groups, implementing topics and strengthening policy consulting activities for the School; standardizing cadres participating in high-level training programs.
With the spirit of democracy, concentration and responsibility, the Congress elected the Party Cell Executive Committee for the 2020-2022 term, consisting of 5 comrades who meet the standards of qualities and leadership capacity, representing Party members in the Party Cell. The Congress also elected the Party Cell Secretary and Deputy Party Cell Secretary with the following results: Comrade Dao Thanh Truong - Party Cell Secretary; Comrade Nguyen Manh Dung - Deputy Party Cell Secretary; Comrade Vu Thi Cam Thanh - Party Cell Committee Member; Comrade Hoang Lan Phuong - Party Cell Committee Member; Comrade Nguyen Quynh Anh - Party Cell Committee Member. The Congress also elected Party members to attend the School Party Congress.
