On November 18, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a working session and signed a memorandum of cooperation with Rajabhat Udon Thani Royal University, Thailand.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and agreed on cooperation mechanisms in the following areas: student exchange, credit recognition, and establishing potential joint training programs. It is known that, to commemorate its 100th anniversary on November 1, 2023, Rajabhat Udon Thani Royal University established the Center for Vietnamese Studies. During his recent working visit to Thailand, the Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Vuong Dinh Hue, visited and highly appreciated the cooperative activities of Rajabhat Udon Thani Royal University with Vietnam, especially the university's opening of a Vietnamese language major and the establishment of the Center for Vietnamese Studies. This center will provide in-depth training on Vietnam, supply data and information about Vietnam, and contribute to promoting understanding and good cooperative relations between the two countries.
Previously, during a visit to the Royal University of Udon Thani in Thailand in mid-November 2023, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan discussed and agreed with Rector Khanisara Thansunthornsakun on a plan to strengthen cooperation between the two universities.
The aforementioned context provides a favorable foundation for effective, in-depth, and lasting cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, and the Royal University of Udon Thani. The visit and work of the UDRU delegation at VNU-USSH demonstrated goodwill and realized the opportunity for comprehensive cooperation between the two major universities of the two countries.
