Opportunities for cooperation in training and scientific research are wide open between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and major universities in China.

On the afternoon of April 21, 2023, a delegation from the Chinese Embassy and the Center for Language Cooperation and Exchange between China and Foreign Countries held a working meeting at USSH.
Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the university; Dr. Pham Hoang Hung - Head of the Cooperation and Development Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Literature, Director of the Center for Chinese Studies; Dr. Le Van Cuong - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Literature; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa - Head of the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies.
Among the guests were Mr. Ma Jianfei - Director of the Center for Language Cooperation and Exchange between China and Foreign Countries, Mr. Zheng Dawei - Education Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, ​​Mr. Wang Dingguan - First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Mr. Deng Lianshui - Head of the General Administration Department, Mr. Wang Yong - Head of the Planning and Development Department, Mr. Hu Ziyuan - Head of the Scholarship and Examination Department, and Mr. Li Peizhe - Specialist of the Center.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highly appreciated the cooperation activities of the Chinese Embassy and the Center for Language Exchange and Cooperation between China and Foreign Countries with the university in the past period.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, stated that cooperation with international universities is a strong trend for the university, aiming to contribute to its goal of becoming an advanced research university in the region and the world. In particular, universities and research institutes in China are important partners for the university in training and scientific research.
Over the past period, the university has established cooperative relationships with 60 universities and research institutes in China. In 2019, among more than 900 international students studying in Vietnam, approximately 600 were Chinese students. This September, many students from major Chinese universities will come to study at VNU-USSH. In the field of scientific research, Chinese partners are actively collaborating with the university.
Chinese students and trainees study at VNU-USSH in various fields across programs ranging from bachelor's to master's and doctoral degrees, as well as short-term training programs. They are provided with the best possible learning environment, healthcare, and opportunities for cultural exchange with Vietnamese students.
Mr. Ma Tien Phi, Director of the Center, expressed his honor to visit and work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Trinh Dai Vi - Education Counselor and Mr. Vuong Dinh Quan - First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.
Mr. Ma Qianfei, Director of the Center for Language Cooperation and Exchange between China and Foreign Countries (CLEC, the organizer of the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test and the HSKK Oral Chinese Proficiency Test globally), shared his honor that the delegation had the opportunity to visit and work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi - a university with a long history and a leading university in Vietnam in research in the field of social sciences and humanities.
During the meeting, the two units exchanged views and found many similarities regarding potential areas of cooperation in training, such as short-term training courses, cooperation in organizing HSK international Chinese language proficiency exams, 2+2 bachelor's degree programs, student and faculty exchanges, implementing China-Vietnam education exhibitions in both countries, and establishing cooperation mechanisms in scientific research.
 
 
 
 

On the same day, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) held a meeting with representatives from 49 Chinese universities during their visit to Vietnam, opening up opportunities for cooperation in training and research between VNU-USSH and the prestigious university community in China.
