In the digital age, where technology is leading change in every field, an increasingly pressing question arises: Is technology capable of solving all the problems of humanity, society, and the planet? Or do we need a humanistic "map" to guide technological development in a sustainable way that delivers real value? Many leaders of large corporations around the world have affirmed that technology can only reach its peak when guided by humanistic thinking and a deep understanding of society, culture, and people... But in Vietnam, social sciences and humanities still face considerable prejudice, being viewed as an academic field, "far removed from reality," or "impractical." A reporter from the Vietnam Science and Technology Magazine had a conversation with Associate Professor Dr. Do Huong Lan - Director of the Institute of Policy and Management, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, about this issue.
