On April 25, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Principal of the University) had a working session with Prof. Dr. Chung Sok Suh (Director of the Institute of Korean Studies, University of New South Wales, Australia). At the meeting, the two sides discussed future cooperation plans: jointly implementing a 5-year interdisciplinary research project on public administration, culture, and economic policy. It is expected that in July 2012, the two sides will jointly organize a scientific conference.

On April 22, 2011, a delegation from Guangxi University for Nationalities (China) led by Prof. Dr. Chung Hai Thanh (Party Committee Secretary) visited and worked with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On April 21, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector) and leaders of the Faculty of Management Sciences had a meeting and worked with Ms. Alexandra Mayr - Director of International Projects, University of Alicante (Spain). At the meeting, the Rector and Ms. Alexandra Mayr discussed the plan for cooperation between the two schools in building an intellectual property project under the sponsorship of the European Commission.

At the invitation of The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation, three staff members of the University, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam and Master Pham Quoc Thanh participated in the International Conference “US-Vietnam Relations: Striving for Stability, 2010-2020” held at the University of Montana (USA) from April 11-13, 2011.

In 2010, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany celebrated the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1975-2010). The book you are holding in your hands is a work to celebrate this important event. It is the result of continuous cooperation between two organizations: the Goethe Institute Hanoi and the Faculty of International Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This idea certainly would not have become a reality without the contributions of scientists from both the Federal Republic of Germany and Vietnam.

On March 17, 2011, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University and representatives of the Faculty of International Studies had a meeting and worked with Prof. Dr. Laszlo Vass - Principal of the University of Business and Communication Budapest, Hungary.

During his visit and work with several Australian universities, on February 25, 2011, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh signed a cooperation agreement with the University of South Australia.

Prof. Tatsuru Akimoto - Vice President of the International Association of Schools of Social Work - visited and worked with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on February 23, 2011. Receiving Prof. Tatsuru Akimoto were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice Rector of the University - and representatives of the Faculty of Sociology and the Department of Social Work.

On February 21, 2011, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Principal of the University - and representatives of the Faculty of Oriental Studies had a meeting and worked with the delegation of Valaya Alongkorn University.

On February 18, 2011, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University - and representatives of the Department of Political Science had a meeting and worked with Dr. Eva Hansson - Lecturer of the Department of Political Science, Stockholm University (Sweden).

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the School - had a meeting and worked with Mr. Liu Tam Chan - Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam - and staff of the Cultural Department of the Chinese Embassy on January 27, 2011.

On the afternoon of January 19, 2011, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Principal of the School - together with representatives of leaders of several faculties, departments, and functional offices had a meeting and worked with Mr. Matthieu Lacave - Independent Appraiser invited by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs - and representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On December 16 in Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with Bansomdej Chaopraya University (Thailand) organized an international seminar on building Southeast Asian Studies.

On November 24, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) signed a cooperation agreement with The Tan University (Taiwan).

This morning, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed a cooperation agreement on training full-time students with Shanghai University (China).
