At the invitation of the City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh led a delegation of the University, including Dr. Tran Thuy Anh (Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation) and Dr. Bui Thanh Nam (Deputy Head of the Faculty of International Studies), to visit and discuss cooperation on April 16 and 17, 2012.

To celebrate 10 years of cooperation and development between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Rosa Luxemburg Institute (Federal Republic of Germany), the Center for Policy Research and Analysis (CEPSTA) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the official unit implementing the cooperation projects to organize the celebration activities taking place from April 19, 2012 to April 20, 2012.

From March 27 to 31, 2012, the delegation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU, led by Rector Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, visited and worked with a number of scientific agencies and organizations in Taiwan: Phu Nhan University (Taipei), Academy of Social Sciences – National Taiwan University, Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei and National Kaohsiung University (Kaohsiung City).

On March 20, 2012, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Vice Rector of the University, together with leaders of the Faculty of Political Science, Department of Scientific Research Management, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation, received and worked with Dr. Eva Hansson - Lecturer of the Faculty of Political Science, Stockholm University (Sweden).

On February 8, 2012, Mr. Alberto Jaime Kaminker, Ambassador of Argentina to Vietnam, visited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University received and worked with the Ambassador.

On February 2, 2012, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University received and worked with Prof. Chung Sok Suh - Director of the Institute of Korean Studies at the University of New South Wales (Australia). At the meeting, the leaders of the two sides exchanged and discussed the cooperation plan to organize an international conference on Korean Studies scheduled to take place at the end of August 2012 in Hanoi, with the participation of leading universities in Southeast Asia, the Central Institute of Korean Studies and the Korean Foundation.

On February 2, 2012, Professor Edward Bryan Tick had a discussion with lecturers from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Psychology, and experts from the Institute of Psychology on the topic: Post-war PTSD in veterans and their families (PTSD) and the role of the media on this issue.

At the invitation of universities in New Zealand and Australia, the university delegation led by Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector - visited and worked with Auckland University of Technology, Victoria University - Wellington (New Zealand) and University of New South Wales (Australia) from December 10 to December 16, 2011.

On December 15, 2011, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, led by Dr. Vu Ngoc Mien - Vice Rector, visited and worked at the school. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Son, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim and representatives of the leaders of the faculties, departments, and centers under the school received and worked with the delegation.

On November 23, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal - and the Board of Directors of the Department of Archival Science and Office Management received and worked with the delegation of the International Association of Archives of French-speaking countries led by Mr. Claude De Moreau - President of the Association.

On November 17, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi had the honor of welcoming His Excellency David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, to visit and attend the "Multicultural" Seminar within the framework of a state visit at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang.

On the morning of November 17, 2011, within the framework of his state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang, Governor General of Canada David Lloyd Johnston visited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and attended the "Multicultural" seminar at the University.

On November 18, 2011, right after the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Graduate School of General Culture, University of Tokyo, the opening ceremony of the Japan Research Support Program Office was held.

On November 18, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University and Prof. Hasegawa Toshikazu - Rector of the Graduate School of General Cultural Studies and Rector of the University of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo, Japan - signed a cooperation agreement between the two schools.
