On September 24, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh met and worked with Dr. Hoang Van Ke, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hai Phong City. Also present at the meeting were Professor Dinh Xuan Lam and several scientists from the Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Hai Phong Science and Technology Association.

In early September, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, was part of a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese Government led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria.

On August 20, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University, along with Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, and Dr. Nghiem Thuy Hang - Deputy Director of the Center for Chinese Studies, received and worked with a delegation from Shanghai University led by Professor Yao Xi Ming - Director of the Institute for International Exchange (Shanghai University - China), who was visiting the University.

On August 20, 2012, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh - Vice Rector of the University, along with Associate Professor Nguyen Van Chinh - Deputy Director of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, and Ms. Tran Diep Thanh - Deputy Head of the Department of External Relations and International Training Cooperation, met and worked with Mr. Ogawa Tadashi - General Director of the Japan Foundation Southeast Asia and Mr. Inami Kazumi - Director of the Japan Foundation in Vietnam.

On August 7, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – and Dr. Nguyen Van Son – Director of the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center – signed a memorandum of understanding between the two units regarding the coordination of research, conservation, and promotion of the values ​​of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site and the Co Loa Ancient Relic Site.

On August 6th, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Rector - along with representatives from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, received a delegation of faculty and students from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, Rikkyo University (Japan), led by Professor Hiroyoshi Sano. The two sides exchanged information on various scientific and training activities, shared experiences, and explored opportunities for cooperation.

On August 2nd, 2012, Professor Song Ja Rip, Member of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Minister of Higher Education, and President of Kim Il Sung National University, visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, the Rector of the University, along with representatives from various departments, held a formal and cordial reception for the Minister.

On July 27, 2012, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector - received Mr. Takeshi Hama - General Representative of AEON Group (Japan).

On July 24, 2012, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector - along with representatives from various departments, received and worked with a delegation from the Academy of Politics and Administration Region III, led by Associate Professor Dr. Truong Minh Duc - Deputy Director of the Academy.

On July 3, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Professor Dr. Ngo Ngoc Thang (Director of the Academy of Politics and Administration, Region I) signed a five-year cooperation agreement (2012-2017) between the two institutions.

On July 2, 2012, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Professor Preng Kittratporn (Rector of Phranakhon Rajabhat University, President of the Association of Teacher Training Universities of Thailand) held a meeting to discuss future cooperation between the two sides.

On June 7, 2012, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector of the university) met and worked with Mr. Tran Ba ​​Tu (Deputy Head of Representative Office) and Mr. Truong Phuc Hang (First Secretary) of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office. Also present were representatives from the Science Department, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Faculty of Linguistics, and the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language.
