University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On November 16th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – along with representatives from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, International Studies, and Psychology, met and worked with representatives from Auckland University of Technology – New Zealand: Professor Nigel Hemmington - Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs and Head of the Faculty of Applied Humanities, and Professor Christopher Hawley - Director of the Office for Development and International Relations.

On November 7th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University - and Professor Trong Vi Hop - Rector of Guangdong University of Foreign Languages ​​and Foreign Trade (China) - signed an agreement on future cooperation between the two universities.

On the morning of November 2nd, 2011, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Rector of the University) along with the leaders of the Faculty of Tourism Studies and the Department of Anthropology held a meeting and working session with representatives from Indiana University – Purdue, Indianapolis (UIPUI), USA: Professor Sotiris Hji-Avgoustis - Head of the Department of Tourism Management and Professor Ian McIntosh - Director of the International Cooperation Department.

On October 26th, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector) along with representatives from the Sociology, Psychology, and International Studies faculties met and worked with representatives from the Warsaw University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Poland), namely Professor Teresa Gardocki (Vice Rector) and Mr. Marcin Imszenik (Head of International Relations).

On the afternoon of October 21st, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a signing ceremony for a framework agreement with the Aviation, Foreign Language and Resort Specialized School of NSG Group (Japan).

On October 13th, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University – along with representatives from the Faculty of International Studies, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, and the Office of External Relations and International Training Cooperation, held a meeting and working session with representatives from the University of South Australia – Professor Claire A. Woods and Associate Professor Michael Galvin of the School of Communication, International Relations and Languages.

On September 7th, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University - met and worked with representatives from the Institute of Buddhist Studies (China), led by Vice President Wang Ning.

On June 7th, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – Vice Rector of the University – met and worked with Mr. Jung Hackgyoon – Principal of the Aviation, Foreign Language and Resort Specialized School under the NSG Group, and also Head of the Cooperation Promotion Department of the NSG Group (Japan).

On May 23rd, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice Rector of the University - met and worked with Mr. Shin Hyun Myung - Principal of the Korean School in Hanoi. During the meeting, the leaders of both sides discussed establishing a cooperative relationship between the two schools and signing a cooperation agreement.

From May 8th to 12th, 2011, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Rector Professor Nguyen Van Khanh, visited and worked in China at the invitation of the leaders of Guilin University of Science and Technology and Hainan University.

A delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Hanoi), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu, recently concluded a visit and working trip to Shanghai University and Fudan University (China) from May 16 to 21, 2011.

On May 16th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University - met and worked with Professor Kim Wuen Bae - President of Mokwon University (South Korea). During the meeting, the rectors of the two universities discussed future cooperation and signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions.

On May 13th, Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu, Vice Rector of the University, met and worked with Ms. Heather Mhairi Riddell, Ambassador of New Zealand to Vietnam.

On May 12, 2011, Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Rector of the University) met and worked with Professor Xia Fei - Vice Rector of Guangxi University of Finance and Economics.

On May 5, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the International University of Korea (IUK) signed a framework agreement establishing a cooperative relationship between the two universities.
