On August 20, 2012, Professor Seiji Yoneda (Ehime University - Japan) gave a presentation and shared experiences on sustainable community tourism development with lecturers, students, and trainees of the Faculty of Tourism Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. On August 6th, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Rector - along with representatives from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, received a delegation of faculty and students from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, Rikkyo University (Japan), led by Professor Hiroyoshi Sano. The two sides exchanged information on various scientific and training activities, shared experiences, and explored opportunities for cooperation.

Ngoc Lan was born into a family with no one pursuing a career in literature, but that didn't affect her passion or determination to study literature. Having decided to pursue literature since middle school, Lan won provincial-level awards in literature for many years, and notably, a third-place national award in 12th grade. With an entrance score of 24 and a good command of English, Lan was placed in the high-quality literature program.

Although she was accepted into the Vocal Music department of the Hanoi Conservatory of Music, Mai Linh ultimately decided to pursue her long-chosen path: Sociology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. She graduated with an excellent GPA of 3.69.

Maintaining an excellent academic record throughout his four years of university, with a GPA of 3.69, Nguyen Tuan Khoi (K53 Oriental Studies) became the valedictorian of the QH-2008-X graduating class in Oriental Studies.

Meeting me one weekend afternoon, despite having just returned to Hanoi from a long business trip to Thanh Hoa, the face of this recent graduate from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities still shone with joy. The pretty girl with the energetic short hair – that's Nguyen Tuyet Lan, a K53 student majoring in Social Work, who just graduated with honors with a GPA of 3.63, and was named a Outstanding Young Person of Hanoi National University in 2011.
