University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On January 18, 2024, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), the Literature Faculty's Trade Union, in collaboration with the Trade Union of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, organized a screening of the film "The Returnee" and a seminar on "Applying Multimedia to Teaching the New Textbook Program".

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities respectfully announces to students and parents the plan for the first Bachelor's Degree Award Ceremony of 2024 for students who graduated in the fourth batch of 2023. Details are as follows:

On the afternoon of January 15, 2024, representatives from the Board of Directors and heads of functional departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) met with a delegation from the Deputy Minister of Europe to introduce the potential and strengths of Hungary and the need for cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the fields of training and scientific research.

On January 13th and 14th, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) participated in the 2024 Admissions and Career Guidance Fair in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces.

The conference will be held from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on January 16, 2024 (Tuesday) for the QH-2020-X and QH-2021-X terms; and from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on January 19, 2024 (Friday) for the QH-2022-X and QH-2023-X terms.

This was the main point emphasized by scientists at the Workshop on Developing Regulations for Compiling the Nam Dinh Gazetteer, held on the morning of January 12, 2024, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH).

On January 7th, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, successfully held the Conference to summarize the work of the Youth Union and Student Association - Youth and student movements in the 2022-2023 academic year, and also honored students and student groups who achieved the "5 Good" title.

The program is free for all students to attend.

In late December 2023, the Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, organized a field trip for all first-year students to Quoc Oai District (Hanoi) and Quang Ninh Province, comprising three groups of approximately 30 students each. This is an annual activity, part of the curriculum for history students, and is given great attention by the University's Board of Directors. On December 26, 2023, following the direction of the Board of Directors, representatives from various departments and the Faculty of History visited and encouraged the history students participating in the field trip.

On January 6, 2024, the closing ceremony of the official survey and evaluation of the quality of three undergraduate programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place at the University: Information Management, Library and Information Science, and Tourism and Travel Service Management.

On January 4, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), met with Professor Michael Herzfeld, Professor of Social Sciences, Department of Anthropology, Harvard University. Also attending the meeting were Associate Professor Dr. Le Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, VNU-USSH; and representatives from the Department of Anthropology and the Department of Oriental Studies.

On January 3, 2024, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities (HS&H), affiliated with the University of HS&H, held a ceremony to offer incense and launch the National Excellent Student Team for the 2023-2024 academic year at the school's Traditional Hall.

These three scientific reports are the distilled research results of scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, submitted to the Government's Religious Affairs Committee to improve policies on religion and belief.

This was the message that Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), sent to the entire Board of Directors, the leadership of affiliated units, and key staff attending the university-wide briefing conference at the beginning of 2024, held on January 2nd, 2024.

This was the topic that received attention and discussion from leading scientists at the Scientific Seminar and Policy Advisory Report Review organized by the Center for Contemporary Religious Studies (CECRS) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi on December 26, 2023.
