On December 22, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), the Center for Sea and Island Studies coordinated with the Vietnam History Foundation under the Historical Science Association to organize a workshop: Southern commercial port system: Potential, Position and Regional and inter-regional exchange relationships.

The Scientific Workshop “Types of boats and methods of using boats in Vietnamese history” organized by the Asia Maritime and Trade Research Group, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in collaboration with the Vietnam Historical Science Association was held on December 29, 2023, receiving the attention and participation of many leading research experts and scientists in various fields.

On December 28, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) solemnly held the Awarding Ceremony for the new PhDs and Masters of the second batch of 2023.

On December 20, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, a preliminary survey to assess the quality of 03 training programs took place: Information - Library, Information Management and Tourism and Travel Services Management. After a day of examining supporting documents and surveying facilities, the External Assessment Team of the Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center announced the results and signed the minutes of completion of the preliminary survey.

On December 21, 2023, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), had a meeting with Mr. Ruici Tio, Manager of the Asia-Pacific Policy and Safety Program of Meta. Also attending the meeting were Mr. Amri Priyadi, Senior Advisor for the Asia-Pacific region and a number of Meta representatives in Vietnam. The meeting was not only an opportunity to evaluate the achievements made in recent years but also to propose key cooperation contents in the coming time.

On December 19, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a seminar on "Improving the effectiveness of testing and evaluating learners' learning outcomes" took place. The seminar was organized by the School's Trade Union with the participation of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee, the Departmental Trade Union Executive Committee, representatives of functional departments, and a large number of lecturers and students of the School.

Scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, made many important contributions at the scientific workshop "Local governance and development from interdisciplinary and regional approaches" organized by the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development, VNU (VNU-IVIDES) on December 21, 2023.

Representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the Royal Rajabhat University Udon Thani, Thailand (UDRU) agreed to cooperate comprehensively, especially focusing on some key areas such as Tourism Studies, International Studies, Thai and Vietnamese languages, etc.

On December 15, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) organized a training activity on mental health (SH) prevention for students of secondary and high schools in Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province with the participation of psychological experts.

On the morning of December 19, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences, China (GASS).

On December 17, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), the Hanoi National University High School Olympiad took place for the subjects of Literature and History. This is the second consecutive year that VNU-USSH has successfully hosted and organized this exam.
