University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On December 22, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), the Center for Marine and Island Studies, in collaboration with the Vietnam History Foundation under the Vietnam Historical Science Association, organized a workshop entitled: The Southern Vietnam Port System: Potential, Position, and Regional and Inter-regional Exchange Relationships.

The scientific workshop "Types of boats and methods of boat use in Vietnamese history," organized by the Asian Maritime and Trade Research Group, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Vietnam Historical Science Association, was held on December 29, 2023, and received the attention and participation of many leading researchers and scientists in various fields.

On December 28, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) solemnly held the graduation ceremony for the second batch of PhD and Master's graduates of 2023.

On December 20, 2023, a preliminary quality assessment survey for three training programs – Information and Library Science, Information Management, and Tourism and Travel Service Management – ​​took place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi. After a day of reviewing supporting documents and surveying facilities, the External Evaluation Team from the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation announced the results and signed the minutes confirming the completion of the preliminary survey.

On December 21, 2023, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), met with Mr. Ruici Tio, Asia Pacific Regional Program Manager for Safety and Integrity Policy at Meta. Also present were Mr. Amri Priyadi, Senior Advisor for Asia-Pacific, and several Meta representatives in Vietnam. The meeting served not only to assess achievements over the past years but also to propose key areas of cooperation for the future.

On December 19, 2023, a seminar entitled "Improving the Effectiveness of Student Learning Assessment" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The seminar was organized by the University's Trade Union and attended by the University's Trade Union Executive Committee, the Departmental Trade Union Executive Committees, representatives from various functional departments, and a large number of faculty and students.

Scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, contributed many important opinions at the scientific conference "Governance and Local Development from an Interdisciplinary and Regional Studies Approach" organized by the Vietnam Institute for Vietnamese Studies and Development, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IVIDES) on December 21, 2023.

Representatives from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and Rajabhat Udon Thani Royal University, Thailand (UDRU) agreed to comprehensive cooperation, focusing particularly on key areas such as tourism studies, international studies, Thai language, and Vietnamese language.

On December 15, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) organized a training activity on preventing mental health problems for secondary and high school students in Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province, with the participation of psychology experts.

On the morning of December 19, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a meeting and working session with a delegation from the Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences, China (GASS).

On December 17, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) hosted the Vietnam National University, Hanoi High School Olympiad for Literature and History. This was the second consecutive year that VNU-USSH successfully hosted and organized this competition.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for the public to access valuable map resources, directly serving the purpose of understanding, studying, and researching Vietnamese history, regional history, and international history.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Government's Decree on the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (December 10, 1993 - December 10, 2023) and the 117th anniversary of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi's Traditional Day (1906-2023), held at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Urban Area (Hoa Lac), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, created an exhibition space with the theme of Confucianism and Confucian-based education in Vietnam. This activity was jointly implemented by the Museum of Anthropology, the Faculty of Literature, and the Department of Scientific Research Management.
