On December 15, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh - Vice Rector of the school, on behalf of the Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH), attended the 5th Conference of "Rectors of Universities in the Red River Basin" in Yunnan Province, China, chaired by Yunnan University in turn. The success of the working trip of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping on December 12-13, 2023 also added inspiration and motivation to this 5th Conference.

That was the sharing of veterans of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) at the Conference to summarize the 2023 emulation and deploy the 2024 work plan organized by the school's Veterans Association on the morning of December 22, 2023.

With the goal of grasping and promptly resolving the difficulties, problems, thoughts and aspirations of students, on December 22, 2023, the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, had a dialogue with more than 400 students representing the courses, classes, and training majors of the University.

On December 20, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, a preliminary survey to assess the quality of 03 training programs took place: Information - Library, Information Management and Tourism and Travel Services Management. After a day of checking supporting documents and surveying facilities, the External Assessment Team of the Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center announced the results and signed the minutes of completion of the preliminary survey.

On December 21, 2023, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), had a meeting with Mr. Ruici Tio, Manager of the Asia-Pacific Policy and Integrity Program of Meta. Also attending the meeting were Mr. Amri Priyadi, Senior Advisor for the Asia-Pacific region and a number of Meta representatives in Vietnam. The meeting was not only an opportunity to evaluate the achievements in recent years but also to propose key cooperation contents in the coming time.

Pursuant to Decision No. 4937/QD-VNU dated December 20, 2023 of Vietnam National University, Hanoi on approving the admission scores for postgraduate training, round 2, 2023.

On December 19, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a seminar on "Improving the effectiveness of testing and evaluating learners' learning outcomes" took place. The seminar was organized by the School's Trade Union with the participation of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee, the Department's Trade Union Executive Committee, representatives of functional departments, and a large number of lecturers and students of the School.

On December 5, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU - USSH) had a meeting and worked with representatives of the leadership of Renmin University of China.

On December 17, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), the Hanoi National University High School Olympiad for Literature and History took place. This is the second consecutive year that VNU-USSH has successfully hosted and organized this exam.

According to students majoring in Han Nom, choosing to study this traditional major is the right choice, giving them a love and passion for studying ancient studies.

The exhibition is an opportunity for the public to access valuable map resources, directly serving the study, research and study of Vietnamese history, regional and international history.

On December 10, 2023, VNU solemnly held the 30th Anniversary Ceremony of the Government's Decree on VNU and 117 years of tradition (1906-2023) at VNU Urban Area (Hoa Lac). This is an opportunity for VNU to summarize achievements, evaluate and draw lessons, thereby upholding traditions, core values, fostering pride, solidarity, and consensus in building and implementing the development strategy of VNU in the new period.

On December 11, 2023, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, together with representatives of the Training Department and the History Department, had a meeting and signed a cooperation document with representatives of the Board of Directors of Dong A University (Japan).

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Government's Decree on VNU (December 10, 1993 - December 10, 2023), the 117th anniversary of VNU's Traditional Day (1906-2023) taking place at the VNU Urban Area (Hoa Lac), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU has built an exhibition space with the theme of Confucianism and Confucian education in Vietnam. The activity was jointly implemented by the Museum of Anthropology, the Faculty of Literature and the Department of Scientific Research Management.

On December 7, 2023, at AEON MALL Long Bien, the AEON 1% Club Fund Scholarship Award Ceremony 2023 took place.
