University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

Warmth, intimacy, and sharing were the emotions felt during the meeting and exchange between the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and Professor Iwatsuki Junichi of the University of Tokyo, in charge of the Japan Research Support Program.

The schoolyard of My Dinh High School in Hanoi was quite different today, because from early Monday morning, teachers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) and other member universities of Vietnam National University, Hanoi were present for the 2024 University Admissions Counseling program.

To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the birth of Professor of History, People's Teacher Phan Huy Le (February 23, 1934 - February 23, 2024), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Science under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the Vietnam Historical Association are jointly organizing an exhibition of photographs and a book presentation entitled "Phan Huy Le's Posthumous Works: Understanding Vietnamese History".

Following the success of the 2023 Job Fair, which connected over 100 domestic and international employers with nearly 1000 exciting job opportunities for students and opened up many opportunities for cooperation between educational institutions and businesses, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) will organize its 2024 Job Fair on March 24th.

Interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approaches will be fundamental trends in the context of a university ecosystem operating on the principles of connectivity and innovation.

As a tradition, every year at the beginning of the new year, the Board of Directors, along with all staff and lecturers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organizes a ceremony to offer incense at the National Special Monument of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam in Hanoi.

That was the message the school principal sent to all staff, employees, and students in the early days of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon).

On February 5, 2024, Cybermetrics Labs (part of the Spanish National Research Council) announced the results of the first Webometrics ranking of 2024. In this ranking, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) increased its position in the top 700 worldwide, and for the first time, the Impact criterion entered the top 500 worldwide (position 495).

That was the message that Rector Hoang Anh Tuan conveyed to all the leaders of departments, centers, faculties/departments/institutes, and organizations attending the February University-wide Meeting on February 5th, 2024, ahead of the Year of the Dragon 2024.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi proposes one official candidate and one reserve candidate (if any) corresponding to VIANs' field; holding a Master's degree or higher; preference will be given to candidates who have found or contacted prospective training institutions, research centers, or laboratories in the United States.

On January 31, 2024, the Institute for Policy and Management (IPAM), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, Federal Republic of Germany, held a meeting and signed a cooperation agreement to implement the SETY project and other community service projects in the future.

On January 31, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Faculty of Philosophy held a meeting and exchanged ideas on cooperation with the Institute of Marxist Studies of Tsinghua University (China).
