University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On April 19, 2025, at Hoa Lac, the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) Trade Union organized the VNU Family Day 2025 with the theme "Proud to be a VNU Family". This is an annual event aimed at fostering connections among union members from member and affiliated units throughout VNU, while also promoting the green and ecological image of the VNU urban area in Hoa Lac.

In anticipation of the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 29th Party Congress of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term 2025-2030, the University's Trade Union Executive Committee successfully organized sports exchange activities: table tennis and football.

On the evening of April 19, 2024, at the auditorium on the 8th floor of building E, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the final round of the 15th Expanded Literature Faculty Drama Night officially took place in an atmosphere of excitement and overflowing emotion. The applause was not only for the outstanding performances but also to honor a long 16-year journey of persistent creativity and dedication.

On April 18, 2025, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the KT Scholarship Fund, 20 scholarships were awarded to 20 outstanding students who overcame difficulties to excel in their studies and training. Each scholarship was worth 5 million VND.

The students honored with the scholarships are individuals with outstanding academic and personal achievements from the faculties/institutes of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-USSH.

The opportunities and challenges facing journalism in the face of the explosion of artificial intelligence were discussed from multiple perspectives at the seminar "Who are journalists? Where is journalism headed when AI is increasingly skilled at content creation?". The seminar, held on the morning of April 8th at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), attracted over 300 experts, journalists, researchers, lecturers, and students. The event was jointly organized by the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, the Digital Cafe Club (CFS), the Institute for Policy and Media Development Research (IPS), and VietTimes Magazine.

Currently, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, under the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, has 18 party members (13 full members and 5 probationary members who are students). Of the 13 full members, 2 are students and 11 are staff members.

The final round of the MESSAGE 4 DIGIGEN 2025 competition, an intellectual playground for young people passionate about AI generation, will take place on April 3rd at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi.

On March 31, 2025, within the framework of Mekong-Lancang Week, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), in collaboration with the Department of Economic Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, successfully organized the "Understanding Mekong Sub-regional Cooperation" competition. The competition aimed to enhance students' understanding of the Mekong-Lancang region; promote cooperation in the Mekong-Lancang region; and create a platform for university students to interact, exchange knowledge, and hone their skills.

This was the statement made by a representative of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) at the launch ceremony of the "Vietnamese Language Appreciation Day" and the "Searching for Vietnamese Ambassadors Abroad 2025" competition, organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (NVNONN) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of March 29, 2025 in Hanoi.

This was important information shared at a working session between the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and the Chinese Education Association for International Exchange, on the afternoon of March 28, 2025.

The political report of the 29th Party Congress of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) for the term 2025-2030 and the University's development strategy until 2035 with a vision to 2045 received many comments and discussions at the thematic conference held on March 25, 2025.

On the evening of March 23, 2025, right in the courtyard of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, thousands of spectators enjoyed a musical feast – the final of “USSH ARTalent – ​​The Glory” – with spectacular performances from 8 outstanding contestants from the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities and the faculties and institutes of the University.

After more than one month of document research and five days of on-site work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), the External Evaluation Team of the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation has completed the official survey to assess the quality of six training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
