University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU

On November 18, 2024, the Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi solemnly held the Ceremony to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. This is also the occasion for the Faculty and the Fund's Executive Board to award Le Van Huu Scholarship and Dinh Xuan Lam Award to students, trainees, postgraduates, lecturers inside and outside the Faculty who have achieved high achievements in studying, researching, publishing, union work and overcoming difficult circumstances.

On the afternoon of November 17, 2024, at the 8th floor Hall of Building E, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) coordinated with the Dao Minh Quang Foundation (of the Federal Republic of Germany) to organize the "Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year" for students of the University.

This afternoon, November 16, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the Dao Minh Quang Foundation, Federal Republic of Germany organized a scientific workshop with the theme "Evaluation and implementation of the Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Startup Project in Vietnam according to the model of the Federal Republic of Germany".

That was the main content discussed and exchanged enthusiastically by experts, managers, and educators in journalism and communication at the Scientific Seminar with the theme "Journalism and communication training in the context of digital transformation", chaired by the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training (SJC), University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on November 15, 2024.

That was the theme of the exchange between the Korean Writers' Delegation led by Professor Bang Hyun-suk and 15 writers, poets, photographers, and journalists with Korean Studies students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on November 13, 2024.

On November 12, 2024, VNU, in collaboration with the Posco TJ Park Scholarship Fund and Posco Vietnam Group, organized the "Posco Scholarship Award Ceremony, Korea, 2024-2025 academic year" for 10 students with excellent academic and training achievements, each scholarship worth 1000 USD/student. Of which, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) was honored to have 2 students receiving this scholarship.

Two scientific research projects of students from the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Linguistics, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) were honored to be in the final round and won the Science and Technology (S&T) Award for students in higher education institutions in 2024.

On November 9, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) coordinated with the Vietnam Philosophy Association and Halotimes Group to organize the 2024 Vietnam Philosophy Olympiad with the sponsorship of Soctrip. The competition was accompanied by the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Hanoi National University of Education, Hue University of Sciences, and Vietnam Youth Academy.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) announces the enrollment plan for full-time undergraduate training programs (CTDT) of the second major in 2024 (phase 2) with the following specific contents:

GDVN - On November 7, the Faculty of Anthropology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held the Phan Huu Dat Award Ceremony and Nguyen Van Huyen Award for the 2024-2025 academic year for outstanding students, trainees, and graduate students.

On November 6, 2024, Quacquarelli Symonds announced the results of the 2025 Asian University Rankings (QS AUR 2025). Accordingly, Hanoi National University is ranked 161 (up 26 places from 187th place of QS AUR 2024) - in the group of 17% of leading universities in Asia.

On November 5, 2024, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University) chaired a meeting and cooperation exchange with the delegation of the University of Gdansk (Poland) led by Prof. Piotr Stepnowski (Rector).

On the morning of November 4, Prof. Gary Mariano (former Dean of the Faculty of Communication, De La Salle University, Philippines) gave a presentation on the topic “Policy on management and use of AI in newsrooms in the Philippines and suggestions for Vietnam” at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Also attending the seminar were many experts, journalists, press and media managers in Vietnam, along with a large number of lecturers, students, and PhD students of the Institute of Journalism and Communication.

On November 2-3, 2024, the 2024 Training Conference of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) was held with the participation of representatives of the leaders of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, school leaders, leaders and specialists in charge of training at training units and functional departments/centers of the school.
