University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On November 22, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), in collaboration with Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB), Tay Hanoi Branch, held the SHB Scholarship Award Ceremony for the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Following the success of the first round, SHB Bank continued to award 17 scholarships to 17 outstanding students from 17 training units within the University.

Radiant smiles, proud eyes, and best wishes were conveyed to generations of teachers and staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, at the rally celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day, contributing to further nurturing the tradition of "respecting teachers and valuing education" throughout its 80-year history.

On the morning of November 17, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, solemnly held a rally to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th, with the participation of numerous generations of teachers, staff, students, and alumni of the university.

On November 18, 2024, the Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, solemnly celebrated the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20). This was also an occasion for the Faculty and the Fund Management Board to award the Le Van Huu Scholarship and the Dinh Xuan Lam Prize to students, trainees, researchers, and lecturers inside and outside the Faculty who have achieved high academic results, research achievements, publications, extracurricular activities, and overcome difficult circumstances.

On the afternoon of November 17, 2024, at the Auditorium on the 8th floor of Building E, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) collaborated with the Dao Minh Quang Foundation (of the Federal Republic of Germany) to organize the "Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year" for students of the University.

This afternoon, November 16, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the Dao Minh Quang Foundation, Federal Republic of Germany, organized a scientific workshop on the theme "Assessment and Implementation of the Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Startup Project in Vietnam based on the German model".

This was the central topic of lively discussion and exchange among experts, managers, and educators in journalism and communication at the scientific seminar themed "Journalism and Communication Training in the Context of Digital Transformation," organized by the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training (SJC), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on November 15, 2024.

This was the theme of the exchange between a delegation of Korean writers led by Professor Bang Hyun-suk, along with 15 writers, poets, photographers, and journalists, and students of Korean Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on November 13, 2024.

On November 12, 2024, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), in collaboration with the Posco TJ Park Scholarship Foundation and Posco Vietnam Group, organized the "Posco Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2024-2025 Academic Year" to award scholarships to 10 students with outstanding academic and personal achievements, each scholarship worth US$1000. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) was honored to have two students receive this scholarship.

Two research projects by students from the Psychology and Linguistics departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) have been honored to reach the final round and win the Science and Technology Award for students in higher education institutions in 2024.

On November 9, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), in collaboration with the Vietnam Philosophy Association and Halotimes Group, organized the 2024 Vietnam Philosophy Olympiad, sponsored by Soctrip. The competition was supported by the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Hanoi University of Education, Hue University of Science, and the Vietnam Youth Academy.

GDVN - On November 7th, the Faculty of Anthropology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held the Phan Huu Dat Award and Nguyen Van Huyen Award Ceremony for outstanding students, trainees, and researchers for the 2024-2025 academic year.

On November 6, 2024, Quacquarelli Symonds announced the results of the QS Asia University Rankings 2025 (QS AUR 2025). According to the ranking, Vietnam National University, Hanoi is ranked 161st (an increase of 26 places compared to its 187th position in QS AUR 2024) – placing it in the top 17% of higher education institutions in Asia.
