Comrade Nguyen Kim Son - Party Secretary, Director of VNU emphasized: Social sciences and humanities focus on the quality of development. Human resources and research products of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities serve the quality of development, the enjoyment of development and are the support for development. In order to promote tradition and continue to make Social Sciences and Humanities develop and shine, the University needs to focus on action, stabilize the organization, unify the management, propose more large-scale science and technology programs, carry out digital transformation, continue the role of policy consultancy and perform well the assigned science and technology tasks.

Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, former Party Secretary, first Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities spoke at the ceremony: The school has two great resources and pride: the humanistic values ​​from the period of the University of Letters and the philosophical legacy left by President Ho Chi Minh. The school needs to make efforts to imbue the humanistic ethics and Ho Chi Minh's philosophy in the team of teachers, students, trainees, postgraduates... Preserving humanistic values ​​will help the school overcome difficult periods to firmly step on its development path. At the same time, in the context of the issue of culture and people being emphasized more than ever by the Party and State, the school needs to seize this opportunity to promote its strengths to contribute to the development of the country.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal of the University) on behalf of the University's leadership expressed gratitude to generations of teachers and proudly shared the achievements that the University has achieved in 75 years of construction, development, and accompanying the country's innovation and integration. After 25 years of development within the structure of VNU, the University has had a stable staff, expanded its training scale, made breakthroughs in scientific research, promoted modernity and integration among staff and students. Prof. Dr. Vu Duong Ninh - Chairman of the University's Former Teachers' Association recalled the heroic past of generations of cadres and teachers of General and Humanities, who put down their pens and went to fight for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, overcoming many hardships to build the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the academic prestige and development stature it has today.
