7. Thesis title: "The Journalism of the Vietnam Journalists Association and the issue of protecting the legal right to practice journalism."
8. Major: Journalism; Code: 60 32 01 01.
9. Scientific supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Huong, Lecturer at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training.
10. Summary of the thesis results: Through research, the author has identified diverse and varied acts of obstruction and interference with journalistic work, spanning many areas of social life (society, economy, politics, culture - entertainment, etc.), especially in two currently pressing areas: anti-corruption and environmental protection. Victims of obstruction and assault include journalists with press credentials and many years of experience, as well as young reporters who have not yet been issued credentials. The leadership of the Vietnam Journalists Association always pays attention to propaganda activities aimed at improving professional skills, conduct, and legal knowledge for journalists. Therefore, the information content on this field is quite diverse and rich in its approach. However, some articles have not fully utilized the advantages of online newspapers to disseminate information quickly, or have not provided sufficient information to prompt media outlets and journalists' associations at all levels to "get involved," thus failing to create the necessary public pressure for competent authorities and government agencies to seriously address the issue. In the author's opinion, journalists and newsrooms need mechanisms for self-improvement, skill sharing, and mutual support against acts of infringement and obstruction of journalism. The goal is to foster societal consensus and condemnation of actions hindering journalists' work. Only then will the entire community join forces. This is the best way to protect journalists in their profession.
11. Practical Applications: Based on the survey of the content and format of articles, the thesis author has proposed specific practical solutions such as strengthening the role of the Vietnam Journalists Association and civil courts, and developing operational procedures and codes of conduct for journalists. In addition, we can gradually enhance the role and professionalism of journalism and improve the operational skills of each journalist.
12. Future Research Directions: Because the topic of the Vietnam Journalists Association's press and the issue of protecting the legal rights of journalists is relatively new, and there hasn't been much thorough and in-depth research on it, coupled with limitations in time and the author's own abilities, the author of this thesis sincerely hopes to receive feedback from professors, colleagues, and readers to improve this thesis and further develop more in-depth research.
