10. Summary of the thesis results:
The Mekong Delta region, home to nearly 1.3 million Khmer people, has numerous Khmer-language newspapers and radio/television programs, such as those published in Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, and Can Tho. These media outlets are increasingly fulfilling their function of disseminating information and educating the public about the law in ethnic minority areas, bringing the Party and State's ethnic policies to the people. While contributing significantly to the dissemination of ethnic policies to the Khmer people, these media outlets are generally subsidized, slow to innovate, and slow to change their format and content to better serve their mission. Some units also exhibit shortcomings in information quality, organizational structure, and staff quality. This limits the role of these newspapers in disseminating information and educating the public about the law in ethnic minority areas, as envisioned by the Party and State for the Khmer people. Therefore, studying Tra Vinh's press (in Khmer) and its role in disseminating legal education among ethnic minority communities is a necessary issue with high theoretical and practical significance.
This is a scientific work that combines theoretical research with practical summaries. The thesis accurately assesses the current state of legal education and dissemination in ethnic minority areas through Khmer-language newspapers, and proposes specific solutions to improve the effectiveness of this work. The research results will provide Khmer journalists in Tra Vinh and the Mekong Delta with important information to reassess the quality and effectiveness of their work. Through this, they will gain a new understanding and perspective on legal education and dissemination in ethnic minority areas, leading to improvements in the content and format of journalism towards a modern, practical, effective approach that meets the needs of the Khmer community.
