This thesis surveyed news articles on tobacco harm prevention communication in three newspapers: Suckhoedoisong.vn, Vietnamplus.vn, and Hanoi Moi, during the period of 2018-2020. Through this, it explored theoretical issues related to the role, function, and impact of the press on tobacco harm prevention communication; the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State's policies and laws, and the health sector's policies on tobacco harm prevention communication. The thesis focuses on analyzing and evaluating the content and form of tobacco harm prevention communication in these three newspapers. It identifies the strengths and weaknesses in content and form, as well as assessing the successes and limitations of tobacco harm prevention communication activities in the press. Based on this, it proposes fundamental solutions to enhance the role of the press in tobacco harm prevention communication.
