These include: the aspects of expressing the lyrical self in the poetry of young female poets after 1986, and the artistic methods of expressing the lyrical self such as poetic form, tone, and symbolism.

- Through exploring the lyrical self in the poetry of Vi Thùy Linh, Ly Hoàng Ly, and Bùi Sim Sim, the author aims to affirm the unique features in the poetic techniques, style, and position of young poets within the contemporary Vietnamese poetry movement.
