10. Summary of the thesis results:

First,Based on research into traditional Lao marriage and family, and comparing it with the mixed Vietnamese-Lao marriage and family values ​​in Vientiane today, this thesis clarifies the changes in mixed Vietnamese-Lao marriage and family compared to traditional Lao families, such as the concept of marriage and marriage principles, marriage rituals (including age-checking rituals, engagement ceremonies, and wedding ceremonies), as well as changes in family culture (including relationships between family and clan; behavior within the family, the role of the wife, relationships between parents and children, and between siblings, etc.).

Monday,This thesis identifies the direct and indirect factors influencing the changes and trends in mixed marriage and family relationships between Vietnamese and Laotian people in Vientiane. Simultaneously, the thesis points out several difficulties arising from differences in customs, lifestyles, beliefs, and religions; language barriers; geographical distance; and legal policies governing marriage and family relationships. These lead to numerous disagreements in cultural exchange and create challenges in language use within mixed-ethnic families, the selection of ethnic groups within these families, and changes in ethnic identity and consciousness.

Based on that, the thesis has proposed content and solutions for policy planning."open",To facilitate the development of mixed Vietnamese-Lao marriages and families, aiming to promote the cultural values ​​of marriage and family of Vietnamese and Lao people in Vientiane, contributing to the building of cultural life and the preservation and promotion of the fine traditional values ​​of each ethnic group.

The research findings of this thesis contribute to providing systematic documentation on the reality of mixed marriages and families among Vietnamese and Lao people, providing scientific arguments for in-depth research on the Vietnamese community in Laos, policy planning, state management, and the development of grassroots cultural life for Vietnamese-Lao mixed families, aiming to improve the material and spiritual lives of the Vietnamese and Lao ethnic groups, and strengthen cultural exchange between the two nations.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

Firstly,Based on the research of the marriage and family of Laos in the tradition, conducting comparison with the values ​​of marriage and mixed family of Vietnamese - Laotians in the current of Vientiane capital, this thesis has tried to clarify changes in marriage and mixed family of Vietnamese - Laotians compared to traditional Laotian families notions of marriage and the principles of marriage, the ritual of marriage (including ritual asked old, engagement ceremony, wedding) as well as variations in cultural family (including relationships between families, clans; conduct in the family, the role of the wife, the relationship between parents and children, between siblings;...).

Secondly,the thesis investigates the factors that directly and indirectly affect the change and trends in the marriage and relationship of mixed family of Vietnamese - Laotians in Vientiane capital. At the same time, the thesis also points out some difficulties due to differences in customs, lifestyles, beliefs, religion, differences in language, the difficulty of geographical distance, difficult from the legislative governing marital relations and family. This led to many dissents in acculturation and created many challenges in the use of language in an ethnic stepfamily and selecting the ethnic composition of the mixed ethnic family; changing identity and national consciousness.

On that basis,the thesis proposed the contents and solutions of"open"policymaking, facilitates the development of marriage and mixed families of Vietnamese - Laotians, in order to promote the values ​​​​of marriage and family culture. The Vietnamese-Laotian mixed family in Vientiane capital in building cultural life, preserving and promoting the fine traditional values ​​of each nation.

This research contributes to scientific documentation of the situation of marriage and mixed families of Vietnamese - Laotians, providing scientific arguments for in-depth study of the Vietnamese community. in Lao PDR, formulating policies, state management and building a cultural life for mixed families of Vietnamese - Laotians to improve the material and spiritual life of the people of the ethnic groups of Vietnamese, Laotian tribes, strengthening cultural exchanges between the two peoples.
