The preservation and promotion of the cultural values ​​of the Khmer people on VTV5 Southwest television has been carried out for a long time, but the production of programs is still limited in quantity, genre, form of expression, etc. In addition, in recent years, the production of entertainment programs in general, Khmer cultural and artistic programs have also faced many challenges, affected by the influence of socio-economic life, the dominance of modern forms of entertainment media. From that situation, it shows the necessity of maintaining and developing the production of cultural and artistic programs in general to preserve these precious heritages for a long time. The innovation and enhancement of the production of entertainment and cultural and artistic programs on television is also a positive move, both stimulating the creative force of cultural and artistic works, and being an effective solution in propaganda and orientation work for the Khmer people.

The thesis has proposed solutions to improve the quality of programs to preserve and promote cultural values ​​on VTV5 Southwest.
