Since the normalization of relations in November 1991, the forms of educational cooperation have become increasingly diverse, the content has become increasingly rich, and the achievements have become increasingly evident. The education of Vietnam and China has gone into many aspects, but the most prominent and noticeable is the cooperation in higher education between the two countries. On April 30, 2009, the Government of Vietnam and the Government of China officially signed the Agreement on Equivalence of Higher Education Degrees, which laid the foundation for the rapid authentication and recognition of higher education degrees between the two countries, as well as for the smooth and effective exchange of students between the two countries.

Since the Agreement on Recognition of Equivalence of Higher Education Degrees between the two countries took effect on April 30, 2009, Vietnamese and Chinese higher education institutions have had more opportunities to exchange and cooperate with each other, especially in the field of training, including the following forms: Joint training when approved by the Ministry of Education and Training; Bilateral training cooperation, student exchange between the two educational institutions of the two countries; Student exchange using the state budget... The main purpose of the thesis is to analyze and evaluate the current status of higher education cooperation, including the form, content, successes and limitations in higher education cooperation between China and Vietnam from 2009 to 2018, thereby raising awareness of the importance of higher education cooperation and proposing a number of solutions to further strengthen higher education cooperation between the two countries in a more substantive and effective direction.
