- Theravada Buddhism always plays a leading role in preserving and promoting Khmer cultural values, and is the core factor in Khmer cultural values. From that important role, Theravada Buddhism has certain influences on the spiritual and cultural life of the Khmer people. That influence has both positive and negative aspects.

- Theravada Buddhism in Giong Rieng district is not outside the general flow of Theravada Buddhism, so it has both common characteristics and specific characteristics, especially in the spiritual and cultural life of believers. In that process, the impact of the market economy, the development of society, the reception and cultural exchange have changed the influence of Theravada Buddhism on the spiritual and cultural life of the Khmer people in Giong Rieng, both positively and negatively.
