Based on the study of Marxist-Leninist views on youth, through the practical experience of revolutionary struggle, and through his experiences during his youth, Ho Chi Minh put forward his own views on the role of youth in the Vietnamese revolution. From these perspectives, the Communist Party of Vietnam creatively applied the role of youth in the two wars of resistance against France and the United States to save the country, as well as in the period of national construction towards socialism, especially during the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization from 2001 to 2010. The Party's guiding principles were concretized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union through practical actions, contributing to promoting the development of the youth movement. From 2001 to 2010, youth work and the youth movement in Vietnam achieved a number of successes: the Communist Party of Vietnam issued many resolutions on youth work (Resolution No. 4-NQ/HNTU on youth work in the new era, Resolution No. 25-NQ/TU "On strengthening the Party's leadership over youth work in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization"...); The work of educating and fostering revolutionary ideals among young people has been emphasized; young people play a pioneering role in building the nation; the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union play a core role and actively contribute to the development of the youth movement; young people are increasingly worthy of being the future masters of the country. From these results, several lessons have been learned: The Party needs to attach importance to and regularly organize political theory education and revolutionary traditions for young people; the Party needs to correctly assess the role and position of young people; the Party's correct revolutionary line is a major factor influencing the ideals and aspirations and plays a role in promoting the initiative and creativity of young people; based on the characteristics of young people, appropriate content and methods of mobilization should be formulated to meet the requirements and tasks of young people; the Party needs to value the role of the Youth Union and the Youth Association... Besides the achievements, youth work during this period also had some limitations. To overcome these limitations, the following solutions should be implemented: The Party needs to constantly innovate its leadership over youth; socialize youth work; the most fundamental content of youth work is education and training; build and strengthen strong Youth Union and Youth Association organizations… Doing youth work well is one of the factors contributing to the successful implementation of the industrialization and modernization of the country in the current period. 12.
