10. Summary of the thesis results:
Stemming from the increasing number of autistic children and the need for support for these children and their families, as well as the difficulties of intervention models for autistic children in non-central and disadvantaged areas such as Nghe An, the researcher undertook the following study:"Evaluating the intervention model for autistic children at Bien Duong Special Kindergarten – Vinh City – Nghe An Province". This research project was implemented at the school.Specialized preschool education was conducted using methods such as in-depth interviews, group discussions, and observation. The study identified the theoretical and practical foundations for intervention in the field of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It clearly showed an early intervention model implemented in three stages with therapeutic methods such as fine motor skills, ABA behavioral therapy, and TEACH, which are applied to the teaching process for ASD children. Based on this, the early intervention model for ASD children was evaluated from two perspectives: firstly, from a social work perspective. This shows that the early intervention model is also a social work model in the field of children with disabilities (ASD children), because it is implemented based on the goals, principles, and ethical values of social work. The assessment of the institution's achievements shows that compared to its initial establishment, the school has made significant progress in intervention effectiveness, is more financially stable, and has a more complete and qualified staff. Furthermore, the study points out limitations in the model, such as the lack of emphasis on the role of social workers in activities, and limited awareness of autism among families and the community. Based on these analyses, the study outlines the roles of social workers and families in the child support model. From this, it proposes recommendations to improve intervention effectiveness and expand the model.
