The first Middle East war in 1948-1949 is considered one of the most important military encounters in the history of Arab-Israeli conflicts. The content of the thesis contributes to and clarifies the origin of the war, from the agreements between Western powers on the division of the Middle East region after World War I to the issue of Jewish nationalism, the uprisings of Palestinian Arabs against the policies of Britain and the United States in the campaign to establish the state of Israel and especially the United Nations' plan to divide the Palestinian territory as the direct cause of the outbreak of the conflict between the Arabs and Israel. The war ended with victory for Israel, but the consequences of that war still persist to this day with profound impacts on the fate of the two peoples, especially the Palestinian issue, while also causing division within the Muslim countries themselves. It was also the origin of the wars between Israel and the Arabs in the following decades.
