11. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis surveys and analyzes four representative films from Vietnam and China to clarify how the image of women is formed, constrained, and reconstructed through the mechanisms of perspective, subjective practice, and layers of cultural context. The research results show that key concepts of feminist theory such as "male gaze," "gender representation," and "intersection" effectively explain the emergence and transformation of female imagery in both cinemas. Simultaneously, the analysis points out similarities and differences stemming from family structure, Confucian values, and the pace of modernization in each country. From these layers of meaning, the thesis constructs a thought-provoking intercultural analytical framework, contributing to filling gaps in comparative research on Vietnamese and Chinese cinema, while providing a reference method for research directions in culture, film criticism, and raising gender awareness in contemporary life.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
The thesis conducts a survey and analysis of four representative films from Vietnam and China in order to clarify how female images are constructed, constrained, and re-articulated through mechanisms of looking, practices of subjectivity, and layers of cultural context. The findings show that key concepts in feminist—such as the “male theory gaze,” “gender performativity,” and “intersectionality”—operate effectively in explaining the emergence and transformation of women's images in the two cinematic traditions. At the same time, the analysis highlights similarities and differences rooted in each country's family structure, Confucian value system, and pace of modernization. Drawing on these insights, the thesis develops a cross-cultural analytical framework with generative potential, helping to fill the gap in comparative studies of Vietnamese–Chinese cinema while offering a methodological reference for research in culture, film criticism, and gender awareness in contemporary life.
