This thesis clarifies theoretical and practical issues regarding development communication and development communication models in the world and in Vietnam. Through a survey of images of the Northwest region in several representative online newspapers, and based on development communication models, it analyzes and evaluates the role of online newspapers in providing information on sustainable development in the Northwest region. Through this, the thesis highlights the role of media in general and online newspapers in particular in the sustainable development of the Northwest region. Simultaneously, the thesis proposes several solutions to improve the quality of information on sustainable development in the Northwest region in online newspapers.
