To provide an overview of the recent state of relations between Vietnam and the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the thesis "Vietnam's Relations with the SADC" systematizes the latest cooperation data in political-diplomatic relations, economic-trade relations, and several prominent areas of Vietnam's cooperation with SADC member countries. Based on this, the thesis identifies the advantages and disadvantages in the cooperation process, and then analyzes and evaluates the current situation to propose solutions to address the difficulties and obstacles in the cooperation between the two sides.
Based on methods of synthesizing, analyzing, and comparing collected data, this thesis presents the most up-to-date data on cooperation between Vietnam and countries of the Southern African Development Community, specifically cooperation between Vietnam and its three main partners in the Community: South Africa, Mozambique, and Angola. The thesis identifies four advantages and four difficulties in the cooperation process between the two sides; proposes three prospects for cooperation; and finally, offers three basic policy suggestions for Vietnam to promote cooperation between the two sides.

In order to have a general view on the state of the relations between Vietnam and South African Development Community (SADC) in recent times, the thesis “Relations between Vietnam and SADC” has systematized all the latest facts and figures in political, diplomatic, economic and commercial areas of cooperation between Vietnam and SADC countries. With this database, the thesis has analyzed the real situation of relations, identified advantages and difficulties, and pointed out solutions for the cooperation between the two sides.
With the methodology of generalization, analyzes and comparision, the thesis has introduced the latest facts and figures of mutual cooperation between Vietnam and SADC countries, including that between Vietnam and the three main partners in the region: South Africa, Mozambique and Angola. The thesis has also identified four advantages and four difficulties of the mutual cooperation, drawn out three cooperation prospects and eventually proposed three main policy suggestions for Vietnam with the aim to boost the mutual cooperation.
