The results of this thesis have certain practical value for the development of tourism in Go Cong town and some localities in the Go Cong region, especially cultural tourism; the results are summarized as follows:

  • This study researches and systematizes some theoretical issues regarding cultural tourism and the conditions for exploiting historical and cultural relics in Go Cong town, Tien Giang province, to serve tourism development. It also presents some experiences in developing cultural tourism from several localities in Vietnam as well as some countries around the world.
  • This study analyzes the current state of tourism development at historical and cultural sites in Go Cong, specifically focusing on: tourism resources, tourist market, tourism products, tourism infrastructure, tourism organization and management, tourism promotion and advertising, cultural preservation in tourism, existing shortcomings and limitations, and their causes.
  • Propose several solutions for tourism development and some recommendations.

This document can be used as a reference for officials and specialists in state tourism management agencies, tourism students, and tourism businesses interested in developing cultural tourism products in Go Cong.

At the same time, bringing up experiences about the cultural tourism development of a number of localities in Vietnam as well as a number of countries around the world.

- Reality analysis of tourism development in the Go Cong historical – culture is such as: Tourism resources, tourist markets, tourist products, material and technical base of tourism, business travel management organization, propaganda promotion tourism, cultural reservation issues in travel, problems, limitations and its causes.

- Proposing some solutions for tourism development and some recommendations.

Our thesis can be used as a reference for staff, experts of tourism state management, tourism students and tourism businessmen exploring the cultural tourism product in Go Cong.
