11. Summary of the thesis results:
Myanmar, a Southeast Asian nation, is gradually transforming and integrating more deeply into the international community, especially since 2011. Myanmar's current success, a preliminary achievement, is due to many factors, including both internal strengths and external influences. These factors have strongly impacted and changed Myanmar's foreign policy. Studying the changes in Myanmar's foreign policy, particularly from 2011 to the present, has provided the author with a certain understanding of the country, its political situation, and its foreign policy; how Myanmar approaches the world in general and major powers and international organizations in particular. It also offers insight into the "perspective" of major powers and international organizations, as well as the close relationship between the ASEAN community and Myanmar. Furthermore, this thesis clarifies several issues:
Firstly, this thesis examines the factors leading to changes in Myanmar's foreign policy. It clarifies the economic and political factors, both globally, regionally, and within Myanmar itself, that have influenced its foreign policy. Based on these factors, it is possible to assess whether these changes in Myanmar's foreign policy are positive or negative, and to evaluate Myanmar's role in the world and the region.
Secondly, the thesis examines changes in Myanmar's foreign policy from 2011 to the present. It analyzes the changes in Myanmar's foreign economic policy, addressing internal political changes and shifts in its economic, cultural, and social landscape. It also analyzes the interactions between Myanmar and ASEAN and its member states, between Myanmar and Northeast Asian countries (including China), between Myanmar and its powerful neighbor India, between Myanmar and the United States, and between Myanmar and the EU and several EU member states. Through analysis, observations, and supporting evidence, the thesis identifies the relationships between Myanmar and these countries and entities, and predicts future foreign relations between Myanmar and them.
Thirdly, the thesis examines the initial achievements of Myanmar and forecasts its near future. It analyzes the achievements, considered initial steps, in the ongoing reforms in this land of temples. The thesis offers predictions about Myanmar's future under various scenarios. It analyzes Myanmar's foreign relations and interactions with the aforementioned countries and entities, combined with a dialectical approach to the dynamics of international relations worldwide, to assess the prospects for Myanmar's foreign relations.
Myanmar, often referred to as "Asia's last remaining golden land," has limited access to information, especially regarding its foreign relations—a country that was once isolated and besieged by the international community for decades. With this approach and research objective, the author hopes that the results of this thesis will have significant meaning.
12. Directions for further research:
With changes in internal politics, economic, cultural, and social development, combined with Myanmar's increasingly deep and broad international integration, this "Land of Golden Pagodas" will experience encouraging progress. Studying Myanmar in general, and especially the reforms undertaken by its leaders throughout different periods, along with the future direction of Myanmar's foreign policy, will yield significant theoretical insights in the future.
Myanmar's foreign policy is heavily dependent on the reforms that its leaders are undertaking. This phase is only the beginning of the reform process. Whether the current Thein Sein administration takes a positive or negative approach, along with the direction of the opposition parties, will significantly impact the future of Myanmar as a whole and its foreign policy in particular. If circumstances permit, the author will conduct further research on this issue in the future.

12. Summary of research results:
Myanmar, one of Asean countries, is undergoing vigorous change, more intensively integrated into the international community, especially since 2011 up to now. Myanmar with its achievements today, temporarily called initial success, thanks to many factors including internal force and external impacts. Theses factors have made strong influences, changed Myanmar's external policies. The study in its changes in external policy, especially the period since 2011 has helped the author know more about the Myanmar, its politics and external policy; about the way it integrates into the world in general and the big countries, international organizations in particular. Simultaneously, the author also knows more about the “attitude” of such big countries, international organizations as well as friendly relations of the ASEAN countries for Myanmar. In addition, the Thesis has researched to clarify the following issues:
Firstly, the factors result in the changes in Myanmar's external policy. The Thesis has clarified the factors regarding economy, politics in the world, in the region and in Myanmar itself which have made changes in Myanmar's external policy. By such factors, the changes in Myanmar's external policy can be evaluated that positive or negative and the role of Myanmar in the world and in the region.
Secondly, the changes in Myanmar's external policy since 2011 up to now. The Thesis has analyzed the changes in Myanmar's external economic policy, including the changes in its internal politics, changes in appearance in respect of economy, culture and society. At the same time the interactive analysis has been made for the changes in external policy between Myanmar and ASEAN community and among the ASEAN countries, between Myanmar and Northeast Asian countries (including China), between Myanmar and India which is the big neighboring country, between Myanmar and the United State of America, with the EU and some other countries in the EU... By means of analysis, comment with quotes, the Thesis points out the relations between Myanmar and such countries, entities; At the same time, the future of such external relations between Myanmar and such countries, entities can be predicted.
Thirdly, initial achievements and predictions about the near future of Myanmar. The Thesis analyzed achievements which temporarily called the initial step of a “continuing innovation” of the land of golden pagoda. Moreover, the thesis mentioned about the different predictions about the future of Myanmar. By analyzing the interactive relation between Myanmar and the aforementioned countries, entities, together with dialectical thoughts about the movements in the worldwide international relation to forecast about prospects in Myanmar's external relations.
Although Myanmar was called as “the last golden land in Asia”, information about Myanmar is not much, especially information about the external policy of the country which was blocked and isolated by international community for decades. The author expects that, thanks to the approaches and purposes of research, results of the thesis will provide significant meanings.
13. The next step of research:
Thanks to the changes in internal politics, economic development, socio-cultural development, in combination with its deeper and wider international integration, “The land of golden pagoda” will achieve encouraging developments. The research in Myanmar in general and especially, the innovations which Myanmar has carried out for periods, together with the next steps in its external relations, will create significant theoretical meanings in the coming time.
Myanmar's external relations mostly depend on the innovations being attempted by its leaders. This is the first period of innovation. The positive or negative movements by the standing Thein Sein Administration, together with the struggle of opposing parties will have a significant impact on the future of Myanmar in general, and its external policies in particular. The author, if applicable, will make research in this issue in the future.
