10. Summary of the thesis results:

This study aims to present the current situation regarding violence against the elderly in An Tuong commune, Tuyen Quang province. Within the scope of this research, I will investigate and identify issues related to perceptions of domestic violence; the reality of violence in terms of its forms and severity; and the consequences, causes, and influencing factors of domestic violence against the elderly.

Research findings indicate that domestic violence against the elderly occurs everywhere, regardless of family status or educational level. This reality encompasses physical, psychological, and economic violence. Many factors contribute to domestic violence, but four main elements are: alcohol and stimulants; economic factors; cognitive factors; and gender. The study also identifies several measures implemented locally to reduce violence against the elderly within families and proposes several intervention measures.

1. Fundamentally change the perceptions of NCT members and the community regarding domestic violence against the elderly;

2. Minimize violence against the elderly within the family;

3. Enhancing the role of the elderly in preventing and combating domestic violence.

11. Practical applications:

This research reveals the reality of domestic violence against the elderly. In practice, the proposed measures and social work models can be applied to support and improve the prevention of domestic violence in general and domestic violence against the elderly in particular.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: The study aims to give the status of the issue of the elderly who experience family violence at An Tuong commune, TuyenQuang. Within the scope of the study, I conducted to find out, identify awareness problems of domestic violence; situation in terms of forms of violence, the level of violence; consequences, causes, factors affecting domestic violence with the elderly.The study results show that domestic violence happens to the elderlyeverywhere, regardless of family status, level of position. Those are: actual state of physical violence, emotional violence and economic violence. There are many causes of family violence, but there are four key factors: alcoholand stimulants; economic factors; cognitive factors; gender factors; The study also highlights a number of measures that were applied locally to reduce elderly violence in the family; also proposed a number of interventions aimed at:

1.Change the basic perceptions of the elderly as well as the community about domestic violence with the elderly;

2. Reduce elderly violence in the family;

3. Enhance the role of the elderly in preventing and combating domestic violence
