Based on a survey of 309 individuals who were married or dating (average age 29.07; 58.3% female), the research results showed:
- Power and commitment in a couple's relationship are inversely related, meaning that the person with more power tends to have less commitment, and conversely, the person with less power tends to have more commitment.
- Satisfaction, the quality of alternatives, and investment are three mediating variables that play a part in the relationship between power and commitment.
- The study also revealed gender and age group differences in power and commitment, specifically that men wielded more power and women showed greater commitment within their relationships. Those aged 26-35 possessed the most power, while those over 45 showed the highest level of commitment to their partners.

Based on a survey of 309 individuals in marriage or dating relationships (average age is 29.07; 58.3% female), the study results indicate that:
- Power and Commitment in couple relationships were negatively correlated, meaning that people with greater power would have less commitment in the relationship and conversely, people with less power would increase commitment in the relationship.
- Satisfaction, Quality of Alternatives and Investment partially mediates the relationship between Power and Commitment.
- The study results also showed that there were significantly significant in gender and age group compared to power and commitment, namely that men had greater power and women had more commitment in the relationship.
