- The thesis has pointed out 5 main approaches related to the research topic of costumes, research to clarify the origin of formation, describe the ethnography of the production process, create products of Lao Loum women's costumes, classify and analyze the characteristics and cultural values of Lao women's costumes in Luang Prabang city. Point out the factors that change costumes and imply some solutions to preserve and promote the cultural values of costumes in the contemporary context.
- The thesis has found a new direction when pointing out the unique characteristics of traditional Lao Loum women's costumes in Mano village through studying the art of hand embroidery and decorative patterns called "Pak-ding" on various types of costumes.
- The thesis has pointed out the outstanding features of the costumes of Lao Loum women in Mano village, Luang Prabang city as an important element in the cultural life of the community, expressed not only in daily life but also in community festivals and important events of families and individuals. Through many ups and downs of history, many elements of the costumes of Lao Loum women in Luang Prabang city have undergone certain changes to suit living conditions, but in general, they still retain their original character; especially in the techniques of weaving, dyeing fabric and making jewelry.
