10. Summary of thesis results:
Islam was formed in the 7th century and is the latest religion among the major religions in the world but has the largest number of followers after Christianity. Immediately after its birth, Islam was propagated and spread to the continents mainly by force and war. However, in Southeast Asia, Islam was propagated by peaceful means and through the commercial activities of Muslim merchants. Islam in Southeast Asia flourished in the 15th - 17th centuries, leading to the birth of a series of Islamic kingdoms such as Malacca, Aceh and Johor. Of which, Aceh is the kingdom that most typically demonstrates the impact and influence of Islam on this country. From a wild land, with almost no historical documents recorded before the founding of the country in the late 15th century, the Sultanate of Aceh had a golden age in the 16th - 17th centuries. Islam had a strong impact on Aceh in many aspects such as politics, military, diplomacy to compete with rivals Portugal and Johor; affirming the position of a Southeast Asian commercial power and a perfect model of Islamic culture in the region. Therefore, Aceh deserved to be an Islamic center in Southeast Asia in the 16th - 17th centuries.
11. Practical application:
Explain why Southeast Asia today is a region with a large Muslim community in the world. Affirm why Aceh is called the "Corridor of Mecca", the land with the strictest and most standard Islam in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia today. And also because of the most orthodox practice of Islam, in the 20th century, Aceh was a province that always had a tendency to secede and fight for independence in Indonesia.
12. Further research directions:
Islam's influence on Aceh continued in the following centuries.
