Based on theoretical research and the current state of parents' perceptions and strategies regarding their children's behavior in preschool at Just Kids 3 Kindergarten in Hanoi and Yen Thinh Kindergarten in Yen Bai, the study shows that parents desire a moderate level of independence in their children. There is a consensus on the definition of good and bad behaviors in children; however, the order of priority has changed. Today, parents prioritize behaviors that demonstrate independence over those that demonstrate obedience and compliance. Parents' perceptions are closely related to their strategies for interacting with their children. Four basic behavioral strategies exist: democratic, authoritarian, indulgent, and liberal. Nowadays, parents often apply the democratic approach in educating their children.
