The research topic "The Impact of Rural-Urban Seasonal Migration on the Lives of Rural Families in Cam Van Commune, Cam Giang District, Hai Duong Province" is conducted in the context of widespread rural-urban migration, an inevitable consequence of the country's industrialization, modernization, and urbanization processes. Within the scope of a single commune in a province, using sociological research methods and applying migration theories, the study has reached the following conclusions:

Firstly, the study describes the current situation of seasonal rural-urban migration in Cam Van commune, Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province. At the time of the study, households with members migrating to urban areas were considered extended families. The gender structure of these households closely corresponds to the current gender structure of the national population as a whole. Regarding the socio-economic characteristics of migrant families: among the surveyed households, the proportion of dependents on the primary laborer is quite high, with an average of nearly one dependent for every one worker. The income sources of migrant families are quite diverse, however, the main occupation is agriculture. The income of migrant households is generally quite stable and ensures the minimum needs of family life. Conditions regarding land, water, and housing are also considered in the thesis. However, agricultural land has been significantly reduced due to conversion into residential land or other uses. The proportion of male migrants in the study area is higher than that of female migrants, and they are primarily aged between 25 and 35. Educational attainment among migrants also varies, with younger migrants having higher levels of education. The frequency of family visits also differs by age and gender. Women visit their families more frequently than men, and this frequency increases with age.

Secondly, the motivations for migration are quite diverse, with economic motives being the primary one.

Thirdly, the thesis also pointed out several impacts of rural seasonal migration on rural family life in aspects such as economic life, cultural life, education, health, politics, and social life. Specifically, rural-to-urban seasonal migration has contributed to the development and improvement of the economic life of rural households in particular and the local economic situation in general. This, in turn, has contributed to improving cultural, spiritual, educational, health, and political life. The research results of the thesis indicate that, thanks to seasonal migration, the cultural and spiritual life of migrant families has improved, and their opportunities and access to social services, especially education for their children and healthcare services, are higher. However, seasonal migration also leads to some changes in rural family life, especially in the division of labor within the family, as well as the participation of rural families in local social and political life.

Fourth, the thesis has offered recommendations on effective solutions for managing seasonal rural-urban migration, reducing negative impacts on rural family life, and helping localities achieve sustainable development in all aspects through the sustainable development of each family.

11. Practical Applicability: The topic has high practical applicability and the potential for research to be applied in other areas of the country. This is especially true in analyzing the impacts (changes, negative, positive, or peripheral impacts) of seasonal rural-urban migration on the lives of rural families. From this, it can contribute solutions for effective management and planning of rural-urban migration.
