The thesis has studied the role of creating social capital of 3 major electronic forums in Vietnam today. The study contributes to building theoretical and practical foundations for research on social capital in developing social networks through electronic forums.

Research on the breadth and depth of relationships on electronic forums, shows electronic forum

+ Provide a variety of ways to connect individuals in the forum

+ Increase the depth of personal relationships in the forum

+ Maintain continuous connection for members
