Scientific Advisor: Dr. Le Van Hao - Head of the Department of Cultural Psychology, Institute of Psychology, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences 10. Summary of thesis results: Most students today have at least once encountered and accessed websites with pornographic content on the Internet. Up to 84.0% of students in the two research areas, Hanoi and Son La, reported having accidentally accessed pornographic websites while searching for study materials or in other situations while accessing the internet. Nearly 60% of students intentionally searched for and accessed pornographic websites when using the internet. This shows that the level of exposure (whether accidental or intentional) to pornographic websites among students in the two research areas is quite high. The reality of exposure to pornographic websites is positively correlated with students' current sexual attitudes. In other words, the more students are exposed to online pornography, the more lax their attitudes towards sex become. This lax attitude towards sex is reflected in both intended behaviors, such as: not prioritizing female virginity; accepting premarital sex; expressing consent to or preference for free, spontaneous sex, one-night stands, or homosexual relationships. Ultimately, it leads to engaging in premarital sex. Premarital sex behavior among students differs by gender and across the two study areas. Male students have a higher rate of premarital sex than female students. Of the 178 students who reported having premarital sex, males accounted for 86.5% (154 students), while females accounted for 13.5% (24 students). This is partly explained by the cultural and educational factors of different regions and ethnic groups. The average age of first sexual intercourse among students in the two study areas was 19.2 years old. Many factors influence students' lax attitudes towards sex, such as culture, religious beliefs, personal values, family influence, peer influence, and community influence. Among these, exposure to pornographic websites (accidentally or intentionally) was considered by students to be the most powerful factor. This impact is reflected in the research results we obtained. 11. Practical application: This study helps students gain a more complete and in-depth understanding of pornographic websites on the internet. It helps avoid the negative impacts of such websites on the sexual attitudes of teenagers in general, and students in particular, guiding them towards a healthy and positive attitude towards sex. 12. Future Research Directions: The link between exposure to online pornography and violence in intimate relationships (dating/romance and marriage).

Supervisor: Dr. Le Van Hao Head, Department of Cultural psychology, Institute of Psychology, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) 11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: Most students have experienced ponography websites more than once and access to those pages on the internet. About 84.0% of students from the two areas studied in Hanoi and Son La reported that they have accidentally accessed ponography websites in the process of looking for learning materials or in some other internet related situations. Nearly 60% of students have accessed to ponographic websites on purpose. This suggests that the level of exposure (whether in accidental or intentional) to ponographic websites among students interviewed is relatively high. The abovementioned fact of exposure to ponography website is positively correlated to sexual attitude of students. In another word, the more students expose to ponographic websites, the looser attitude toward sex they will have. The loose attitude toward sex is manisfested in some intended behaviors including de-emphasise of women's chastity, acceptance of premarital sex, endorsement of libertinag and homosexuality. Furthermore, they have conducted sexual behavior before marriage. The premarital sexual behaviors among students interviewed varied across genders. Out of 178 students who reported having premarital sexual behaviors, the majority of them (86.5%) are males, the rest (13.5%) are females. It is partly explained by cultural, educational factors in each study areas and Ethiopian. The everage age of the first sexual intercourse among the interviewed sudents is 19.2 years old. There are many factors contributing to the loose attitude toward sex among students including culture, religious beliefs, values, family, friends and community influences etc. Out of which the exposure, whether accidentally or intentionally, to ponographic websites is rated by students as the most dominant factor as evidenced in our study. 12. Practical applicability, if any: The study may help students to raise their awareness of the ponographic websites. It may also help youth in general and students in particular to avoid or cope with the negative impacts of the ponographic websites on their sexual attitudes and behaviors. 13. Further research directions, if any: The correlation between exposure to ponographic materials from the Internet and Intimate partner violence (in dating and marriage).
