Understanding the *Tian Yan Lun* work by Nghiem Phuc. 2. Studying the influence of *Tian Yan Lun* on the literature of patriotic Confucian scholars of the early 20th century, specifically highlighting the influence in terms of vocabulary and thought. Terms such as "survival of the fittest," "competition for survival," "the strong prevail over the weak," "unity," etc., from *Tian Yan Lun* were adopted by Confucian scholars. These terms are primarily found in the works of Phan Boi Chau, Phan Chau Trinh, Nguyen Thuong Hien, Huynh Thuc Khang, etc., and contributed to the transformations in the thinking of contemporary revolutionaries. 3. Clarifying the issue of the early 20th century, the adoption of Western ideas, particularly Darwinian socialism, by patriotic Vietnamese Confucian scholars was primarily through the reception of translated books from China. That is, thanks to the Chinese language, these patriotic Confucian scholars gained access to world civilization ideas. However, the negative aspect was that the reception of these new ideas was always through the subjective lens of the Chinese. For example, with the work "Tian Yan Lun"—although Yan Fu claimed his translation principles were faithful, accurate, and elegant—as researchers have pointed out, he added, subtracted, modified, and added commentary. He only performed the "meaning translation" with added "commentary"—his own subjective commentary—to suit the situation in China at that time. 11. Reading, reviewing and studying the translated work of Nghiem Phuc 2. Studying the influence of Evolution and Ethics on the literary works of the confucian scholar patriots in the early twentieth century, in which addressing the influential vocabulary and thinking. Some nouns such as "objects compete with each other", "competition for survival", "powerful and strong defeat", "grouping together"... in the Evolution and Ethics (translated version) had been reused, firstly and foremost, in some works that were created by Phan Boi Chau, Phan Chau Trinh, Nguyen Thuong Hien, Huynh Thuc Khang. They had also contributed into the changes in the ideology of the contemporary revolutionary. 4. Clarifying some matters in the early twentieth century, the acceptance of Western ideas, in which the typical is the Darwin 's socialism that the confucian scholar patriots have mainly received through the translated books from China. It means that based on the Sino, the confucian scholar patriots have approached the idea of civilization in the world, but its negative side is that the reception of these new ideas must be done through a subjective prism of the Chinese. Studying the Evolution and Ethics indicates that although Nghiem Phuc declared that he prefered with translating theory including faith, attainment, elegance but in reality he had added, reduced, adapted and commented quite alots things in the work (the translated version). He has only translated the common idea and added some his subjective commentary that helped it fit the current situation of China at that time. 11.
