- Clarifying the innovative efforts of some modern Vietnamese detective story authors in terms of poetics. From there, affirming the contributions of detective authors and the detective genre in the development process of Vietnamese literature.

- Point out the limitations of Vietnamese detective stories to answer the question: why is detective literature in Vietnam inferior to works written on other topics?

- The thesis is to elaborate the features of the versification of detective genre that is based on the theory of detective novels in general to those after 1975 in private. From there, it helps to distinguish detective literature from others

- Elaborating several authors' effort to renovate Vietnamese modern - detective fiction in term of versification. There by, concretely confirms the contributions of those authors in detective genre to the Vietnamese literature progression.

- Showing the limits of Vietnamese fiction to give an answer to the question: why detective fiction in Vietnam is inferior to those writing about other themes.
