The main findings include: Firstly, the study analyzed Vietnamese language textbooks for foreigners, clarifying the representation of historical-cultural vocabulary in terms of form, meaning, and thematic distribution. The results show that Sino-Vietnamese vocabulary predominates (75.6%) in the textbooks, with vocabulary groups related to folk art and national history being the core content, clearly reflecting the characteristics of Vietnamese historical-cultural heritage. Secondly, the study proposes a comparative historical-cultural teaching method, emphasizing the construction of teaching materials and the design of task-based activities. This method helps Chinese students gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese historical-cultural heritage through language, while simultaneously enhancing their awareness of cultural similarities and differences. These results not only contribute theoretical value but also have significant practical implications, helping to promote the teaching of historical and cultural vocabulary in Vietnamese, especially for Chinese learners.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

This research has developed a comprehensive theoretical framework for cultural–historical vocabulary in Vietnamese textbooks for foreign learners, with a particular focus on its application to teaching Chinese students. The main findings include: First, the study analyzed Vietnamese textbooks for foreign learners, clarifying how cultural–historical vocabulary is presented in terms of form, meaning, and thematic distribution. The results show that Sino-Vietnamese words account for 75.6% of the vocabulary, with lexical groups related to folk art and national history forming the core content that clearly reflects Vietnam's cultural and historical characteristics. Second, the study proposes an intercultural comparative approach to teaching cultural–historical vocabulary, emphasizing the development of teaching materials and the design of task-based learning activities. This approach helps Chinese students gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam's cultural history through language, while enhancing their awareness of both cultural similarities and differences. These results contribute not only to theoretical understanding but also to practical significance, promoting the teaching of cultural–historical vocabulary in Vietnamese, particularly for Chinese learners.
