Summary of the thesis results: The study explores the difficulties and adaptation of spontaneous migrants from rural to urban areas to the new working environment. The survey results show that migrants have little difficulty finding jobs, but they have to face many obstacles when they first come to Hanoi to work as well as at present. With low education levels and almost no professional training, most spontaneous migrants have to work in the informal economic sector with unstable jobs. When they first start working, high competition, limited income and often getting lost are major difficulties for them. In addition, they also encounter some difficulties such as dangerous work, work not as planned. Up to now, difficulties such as high competition and hard work still cause obstacles for migrants. Over time, the flow of migrants to the city is increasing, competition in work is increasing. In addition, spontaneous migrants also have to endure discrimination, being scolded by their employers, etc., which are also factors that challenge the adaptability of migrants. Depending on gender, education level and age, migrants face different difficulties. In the beginning, some migrants also had measures of resistance such as changing jobs, finding other jobs. However, over time, the rate of people accepting and trying to be patient is increasing. Overcoming difficulties to stay in Hanoi is both an effort and a reflection of spontaneous migrants' adaptability to the harsh working environment in Hanoi. 11. Practical applicability: The study has shown the difficulties that spontaneous migrants encounter as well as their adaptability. Thereby, suggesting to the authorities at all levels to understand more about their difficulties and have more appropriate programs and policies, ensuring the rights of migrants 12.
