Summary of thesis results: The increasingly strong development of foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam has made significant contributions to the country's socio-economic development, creating many jobs and income for workers, while also raising many important issues regarding labor relations within enterprises. Besides the positive aspects, labor relations in foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam currently face many challenges. Increasingly, conflicts arise between foreign employers and Vietnamese workers, leading to labor disputes, collective work stoppages, and strikes. The causes of this situation stem from disputes over rights, interests, or both rights and interests between workers and employers. Labor relations in foreign-invested enterprises are becoming a sensitive and pressing issue in many localities. Formal actors in labor relations are making significant efforts to establish and strengthen a new process and system of labor relations capable of resolving conflicting interests between workers and employers in an orderly and systematic manner, through collective bargaining and social dialogue at various levels. Reforming labor relations through negotiation has been, is, and will continue to receive more attention and be more strongly promoted in the future because the actors in labor relations are more deeply aware of the importance of building a healthy, harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations system and have begun or are planning to take positive steps to improve labor relations through negotiation. Paying more attention to the issue of strengthening negotiation in labor relations in foreign-invested areas within each province is also an important driving force for developing production and business, increasing labor productivity, bringing benefits to both sides, and creating social stability in general. Choosing to study the case of a Korean-invested enterprise (DS International Co., Ltd.) and a Japanese-invested enterprise (Brother Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd.), this thesis truthfully reflects the reality of employment, wages, social insurance, and other working conditions of workers in the two aforementioned enterprises. It also clearly explores the desires and aspirations of the parties involved in labor relations from the perspective of the other party. The thesis also describes the current state of the relationship between the parties in labor relations; the negotiation methods/agreement mechanisms between the parties in labor relations to achieve harmony and stability in labor relations. Based on this, the thesis presents some predictions about the trends of labor relations in foreign-invested enterprises in the coming period. From the current situation of negotiation in labor relations in foreign-invested enterprises, the thesis offers some recommendations to the State, employers, employees, and trade unions to strengthen negotiation in labor relations in foreign-invested enterprises in order to build increasingly harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations.
