Organizational stability and development
At the beginning of the 2017-2020 term (when it was first established), the Party Cell had 4 party members out of 6 cadres and lecturers of the Department of Religious Studies; up to now, the total number of party members of the Party Cell is 12 comrades out of 14 cadres and lecturers of the Department of Religious Studies (there are 3 probationary party members who were admitted to the Party from excellent students).
In building the organization and activities, the Party Cell always takes active measures to build a clean and strong Party Cell according to the criteria set by the Party Committee of the School and the Party Committee of Hanoi National University; regularly focuses on improving the quality of ideological and political work; ensures the principle of democratic centralism, strongly criticizes and self-criticizes against signs of degradation in ideology, stance, factions, localism, opportunism, etc.; promptly prevents signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party and negative impacts from the outside. At the same time, the Party Cell effectively implements major campaigns and emulation movements launched by the Party Committee and the School, implementing the motto“Every teacher and party member is an example of morality, self-study and creativity.”.
She has led the Department to ensure stability and development in terms of organization and apparatus, and improve management and operation methods towards an advanced university; gradually improve facilities for training, scientific research and international cooperation. Currently, the organizational structure of the Department includes: Department Management Board, Department Scientific Council, 03 professional groups, 01 office, 01 documentation room.

The Party Cell focuses on leading and directing the building of a strong organization and effective operation of the Trade Union and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; training, educating and providing truly outstanding union members and members for the Party Cell to admit into the Party. During the term from 2017-2020, the Party Cell admitted 03 new party members (01 party member is a graduate student, 02 party members are students).
Every year, the Party Cell seriously evaluates and classifies Party organizations and analyzes the quality of Party members according to the Party's regulations. Party members in the Party Cell strictly follow the Politburo's regulations on 19 things Party members are not allowed to do.
Rapid, sustainable development and meeting social requirements in training and scientific research
The Party Cell has led the Department to carry out training and scientific research tasks with the motto: Theory linked to practice, interdisciplinary development orientation.
Regarding training, every year, the Department of Religious Studies enrolls and trains 3 levels: Bachelor, Master, Doctor. Notably, in the training courses, there are international students (Lao students) studying in 2 levels: Master and Bachelor. Along with the regular bachelor's classes, the Department enrolls students in part-time classes in 4 provinces and cities with very specific training subjects, students are dignitaries, followers of religions, some have high ranks in the church (Venerable, Venerable...) and officials working in agencies of the local political system. Both regular and part-time training types place great emphasis on the requirement that theory must be linked to practice. Therefore, students who are officials of agencies and organizations, after graduation, are all competent to undertake work in the assigned field of work. For students, researchers and postgraduates, religious monks and nuns are equipped with knowledge about the viewpoints, guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State; knowledge in many areas of social life related to beliefs and religions to implement the motto "Good life, beautiful religion", contributing to promoting the role and responsibility of religion towards society.

Regarding scientific research, the Party Cell of the Department always prioritizes the implementation of scientific research activities associated with classroom lectures and research projects associated with the practical aspects of social life. During the last term, the Department has organized many seminars and discussions of academic value such as: coordinating with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to organize scientific seminarsSocial charity work of Vietnamese Buddhism todayin Kien Giang province andPromoting the role of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee in the new situationin Khanh Hoa province; in collaboration with the Institute for Human Potential Research to organize a workshopThe role of Vietnamese beliefs in contemporary social life - theory and applicationat the School; in collaboration with the Khmer Southern Buddhist Academy, organized a workshopTraining talents and human resources of Khmer ethnic people in the South: Tasks and solutionsin Can Tho city.
In addition, the Department also coordinated with the Government Committee for Religious Affairs to organize a seminar onLaw on Belief and Religion; coordinated with the Institute of Legislative Studies of the National Assembly Office to organize a seminar onNon-sectarian Buddhism of Tibet.

To achieve this achievement, the Party Cell of the Department of Religious Studies always receives close and direct attention and leadership from the Party Committee and the School Board of Directors; timely and close cooperation from functional departments and teachers inside and outside the School.
Promoting the achievements of the 2017-2020 term, the Party Cell of the Department of Religious Studies determined the action slogan of the 2020-2022 term as:Stability - Solidarity - Creativity - Sustainable Development, continue to affirm the position of the industry and actively contribute to the overall achievements of the Party Committee and the School in the new term.
