With the close leadership and direction of the School Party Committee and the Board of Directors; the support and coordination of other units in the School; the solidarity and cohesion between units and between members of the Party Committee, the management team and the masses, in the past term, the Party Cell of the School IV has achieved many achievements in leadership and advisory work for the School Party Committee and Board of Directors on key aspects of work.
Regarding political and ideological work, the Party Cell has done a good job of political and ideological work for cadres, party members and the masses in the units under the leadership of the Party Cell. Party members and the masses in the Party Cell always believe in the leadership of the Party, have a firm ideological stance, and are steadfast in the goal of building a comprehensive and solidly developed University in the direction of a research university.
Regarding professional work, within the scope of its functions and tasks, Party Cell IV has achieved many important results in scientific research management, ensuring training quality, publishing journals, directly contributing to improving the quality of research and training activities, meeting social needs and international integration.
The 2017-2020 term is the third term of the Party Cell. This is the period in which the role and leadership focus of the Party Cell is on the tasks of advising the Party Committee and the School Board in continuing to promote and implement activities in the following areas: Managing scientific research activities, Ensuring educational quality and publishing the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The Department of Scientific Research Management has organized many domestic and international scientific conferences, and the management of scientific research activities of lecturers and students is increasingly professional and effective. The Center for Education Quality Assurance has effectively implemented activities of inspection, quality assurance and quality improvement of training programs and educational institutions.
Every year, the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities publishes 4 issues in Vietnamese, 2 in English and 1 to 3 Special Issues for young authors. The reputation and quality of publishing and the management of publishing are increasingly improved.
In particular, the Party Cell has led the promotion of university research and innovation activities, quality assessment work and improving the quality and reputation of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities. The work results of the departments in the Party Cell (Department of Scientific Research Management, Center for Education Quality Assurance, Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities) have contributed to supporting the Faculties/Departments and functional departments in the School to effectively perform the tasks assigned by the Board of Directors.
Regarding the work of Party organization building and development, the Party Cell always pays attention to the work of Party building and rectification, enhancing the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members and cadres, focusing on building a strong Party Cell, and promoting the comprehensive leadership role. During the term, the Party Cell introduced 01 new Party member, officially transferred 01 comrade to the Party, and introduced 02 comrades to attend the Party awareness training class. Party affairs, Party activities, Party fee collection and payment were carried out in a disciplined manner. During the entire term, the Party Cell always achieved the title of Excellently completing tasks.
Summarizing the 2017-2020 term, many lessons in the leadership and direction of the Party Cell have been drawn, namely: It is necessary to pay attention to the specific characteristics of each unit to have appropriate forms of political and ideological education; further promote the role of unit leaders in political and ideological education for cadres and employees in the unit; it is necessary to pay due attention to the work of grasping the ideology of cadres, party members, and the masses to have a direction for handling right from the beginning; attach more importance to information and support work so that each cadre and civil servant can improve their self-awareness in self-studying and proactively participating in building a research university within their own scope of work.
