Psychology Department Party Branch: A clean and strong Party branch.

As of March 2020, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Psychology had a total of 12 members, including 10 full members and 2 probationary members. During the 2017-2020 term, the Party Branch effectively implemented the principle of democratic centralism, maintaining internal unity and high consensus on the unit's development policies and directions. With these achievements, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Psychology was awarded a certificate of commendation by the Party Committee of Hanoi National University for "Outstanding Performance" for five consecutive years (2014-2018).

The Party cell of the Faculty of Psychology received a certificate of commendation from the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi for outstanding performance in fulfilling its duties for five consecutive years (2014-2018).

94.1% of the teaching staff hold a doctoral degree.

Currently, the Faculty has 16 out of 17 lecturers with doctoral degrees (94.1%), 1 Professor and 6 Associate Professors (41.1% of the total teaching staff). Besides their high level of expertise, as evidenced by their academic titles and degrees, the Faculty's staff actively participates in training courses on innovative teaching methods, enhancing scientific research capabilities, and English language courses for lecturers.

Leading in international publications
In line with the University's policy of promoting international publications, during the past term, the Party branch led the Faculty in implementing research projects, publishing scientific articles, and organizing international conferences. During the past term, the Faculty of Psychology organized two prestigious international conferences with significant regional and international influence: the international conference "Human Happiness and Sustainable Development" in November 2017, and the conference "Health Behaviors in Modern Society" in November 2019.

Each year, faculty members of the Psychology Department publish 2-5 articles in ISI and Scopus journals, and 5-10 articles in other peer-reviewed international journals. Faculty members actively participate in international conferences abroad, with many articles published in conference proceedings. Besides faculty research activities, student research is also emphasized and has achieved good results. In the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years, three student groups from the Department won one first prize and two second prizes in the Ministry-level student research competition.

Students from the Faculty of Psychology won the Ministry-level Student Science Research Award in 2019.


Maintain the quality of training.

One of the Faculty's key political tasks is undergraduate and postgraduate training. The Party branch has effectively directed efforts to continuously improve the quality of training for regular and high-quality undergraduate students, as well as the quality of master's and doctoral training; ensuring the quality of curricula and learning materials for all programs.

The Faculty's outstanding achievements in training activities include: maintaining the scale of undergraduate enrollment; diversifying postgraduate enrollment sources; developing and successfully operating a master's program in Clinical Psychology with an applied orientation; enrolling students in second degree programs for those who need it; and completing the external evaluation of the Bachelor's program in Psychology according to AUN standards.
During the 2017-2020 term, alongside the achievements, the lessons learned by the Psychology Department Party Branch were the need to always uphold the principles of democratic centralism, internal unity and cohesion; to promote a spirit of continuous learning and professional development among Party members and lecturers to improve the quality of teaching and research; and to strive to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the University.
