Attending the Party Congress of the Faculty were comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Party Committee Secretary, comrade Vu Van Quan - Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Professional Department.
On behalf of the Presidium, Comrade Hoang Khac Nam - Secretary of the Party Cell of the Faculty of International Studies presented the Political Report summarizing the 2017-2020 term and outlined the directions and tasks for the 2020-2022 term. Under the leadership and direction of the School Party Committee; determining the role as the core leader in implementing the tasks of the unit in the past term, the Party Cell of the Faculty of International Studies, together with the unit, cadres, party members and civil servants, promoted advantages, overcame difficulties to successfully complete the assigned tasks as well as the targets set by the Party Cell Congress. In addition, the Report also pointed out the limitations, shortcomings, lessons learned; at the same time, determined the directions, goals and tasks for the 2020-2022 term.
At the congress, delegates also listened to the draft presentation and discussed and commented on the Political Report presented at the Congress of Party Delegates of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2020-2025 term and 04 summaries of the Documents presented at the 13th National Congress of the Party. The congress highly agreed with the results of the implementation of the Party Cell Resolution for the 2017-2020 term.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the Party Committee of the School acknowledged and welcomed the achievements that the Party cell of the Faculty of International Studies had achieved in the 2017-2020 term. Comrade Nguyen Van Kim emphasized the outstanding achievements of the Party cell: postgraduate training activities maintained a high number of students and postgraduates; the number of staff was not large but the role and research quality of many lecturers and staff were highly appreciated in the scientific community; the organization and training of staff of the Party cell were carried out methodically, the Party cell also completed the training structure at the unit.
Basically agreeing with the direction and tasks of the 2020-2022 term of the Party Cell, Party Secretary Nguyen Van Kim suggested that immediately after the Congress, the Party Cell should develop a detailed and practical action program to implement the Congress Resolution.
Comrade Nguyen Van Kim also suggested that the Party cell of the Faculty of International Studies should pay attention to the following tasks: focus on leading all aspects of activities more closely; do a good job of developing the Party; have a strategy, identify opportunities and focus on standardizing the academic titles and degrees of the staff to further affirm the role and position of the unit in the field of scientific research on international relations; further promote good and creative research ideas and good research methods from doctoral students and graduate students; select attractive, updated, modern and applicable research issues to build community-based research...
The Congress elected the Party Cell, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell by secret ballot and introduced the Party Cell Committee for the 2020-2022 term, consisting of 02 members. Accordingly, comrade Hoang Khac Nam was re-elected as Party Cell Secretary and comrade Ngo Tuan Thang as Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell for the 2020-2022 term.
The Congress elected 04 official party members to attend the 28th School Party Congress and passed the Congress Resolution. 100% of party members approved the targets set forth in the Congress Resolution.
Speaking at the launch of the Party cell for the 2020-2022 term, Party cell Secretary Hoang Khac Nam thanked the Congress for its trust and expressed his belief that with the leadership and direction of the School Party Committee and the tradition of solidarity, dynamism and creativity of the Party members in the unit, the Party cell will perform well its tasks in the coming time.
Comrade Hoang Khac Nam called on all cadres and party members to strive and compete to achieve results, making practical contributions to the successful implementation of the tasks set out in the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2022 term.
