From May 29th to June 1st, 2011, students of cohort K52 (QH-2007-X) from the faculties of Philosophy, History, Literature, Management Science, Information and Library Science, Sociology, Linguistics, Tourism, Journalism and Communication, etc., defended their graduation theses. This year, most faculties organized the graduation thesis defenses 2-3 days earlier than the previous year.

Following the activities commemorating the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek a path to national salvation, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Vietnam Film Institute, organized film days about President Ho Chi Minh.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announces the results of the first round of postgraduate admissions for 2011.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek a path to national salvation (June 5, 1911 – June 5, 2011), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Archives Department of the Central Party Office, organized an exhibition introducing archival documents on President Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a path to national salvation, with the theme "President Ho Chi Minh and the path to national salvation and liberation".

In accordance with the study plan and implementation of the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on June 2, 2011, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Party Committee of the University of Natural Sciences organized a conference to disseminate the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the Action Program for implementing the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels, to cadres, staff, and Party members of the two universities.

On the evening of May 25th, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, more than 500 students from 10 major universities in Hanoi participated in an exchange with exemplary individuals with disabilities in the "Knights of May" program.

On the evening of May 25, 2011, at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center, the final round of the "Golden Microphone 2011" presenter competition was held, organized by the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On the morning of May 26th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities awarded 121 scholarships to ethnic minority students from mountainous regions for the 2010-2011 academic year. The program was implemented by the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Regions (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) in collaboration with sponsoring agencies, organizations, and businesses.

On May 25, 2011, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication and the Center for Journalism and Communication Professional Training held a ceremony to announce the appointment of the Faculty's leadership board and the Center's management board for the 2011-2016 term.

On May 23rd, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice Rector of the University - met and worked with Mr. Shin Hyun Myung - Principal of the Korean School in Hanoi. During the meeting, the leaders of both sides discussed establishing a cooperative relationship between the two schools and signing a cooperation agreement.

The "Creativity" round - the final of the first Academic Advisor Professional Skills Competition - took place last night, May 18th.
