The 2012 Singing Contest for staff and students with the theme "Singing about the border, sea and islands of the homeland" organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place with great success on November 17, 2012 at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural House.

On November 16, 2012, the Faculty of Management Science solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Faculty's founding (2002-2012).

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 3793/ĐHQGHN-CTHSSV of the Director of Hanoi National University on considering and awarding the title "Outstanding Young Face of Hanoi National University" in 2012; in order to summarize the emulation movement of studying, working, scientific research, and moral training of students, graduate students, researchers, and young cadres; in preparation for considering and recognizing the title "Outstanding Young Face at the school level - 2012", the School Board requests the Heads of units to conduct the consideration according to the following standards and implementation progress:

On the morning of November 7, 2012, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication and Vietnam Law Newspaper organized an exchange program to introduce the Young Writers Contest.

On October 29, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly held a ceremony to award Chung-Soo scholarships from Korea to 80 students with excellent academic achievements, students with difficult circumstances who have strived to study, and students who are union officials with good academic achievements.

On November 5, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a Vietravel scholarship award ceremony called "Vietravel accompanies Vietnamese talents". Attending the ceremony were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the University, Mr. Pham Quang Hung - Director of Vietravel Northern Branch.

That was the theme of the cultural exchange program to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20, organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with HASTEC Company and Hanoi Radio and Television on October 18, 2012.

On October 17, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and AEON Group (Japan) signed an official cooperation agreement and awarded the first 15 scholarships to the school's students.

"Melody of Life" is an English singing contest launched by the English Club of the Faculty of International Studies, with the aim of building a new, familiar and practical English playground in the student community, while contributing to the strengthening of the cultural and artistic movement among students.

From August 11 to August 17, 2012, the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) cooperated with Korean charity organizations to participate in volunteer activities in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam.

“K57 Talent” - a playground for new students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - was held on September 27, 2012 at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural House.

Implementing the work plan for the 2012-2013 school year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with Me Tri Medical Station organized a health check-up for students of the QH-2012-X course.
