The 2012 Faculty and Student Singing Contest, themed "Singing about the borderlands and islands of our homeland," organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, was a resounding success on November 17, 2012, at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center.

The 40th anniversary celebration of the Han Nom Studies Department, Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, was solemnly held on November 17, 2012.

On November 16, 2012, the Faculty of Management Science solemnly celebrated its 10th anniversary (2002-2012).

On November 13, 2012, a lively and emotional cultural exchange event celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20) was held by the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language at the auditorium on the 8th floor of Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The Organizing Committee of the Singing Contest announces the order of rehearsals and performances of the participating units in the 2012 Faculty and Student Singing Contest.

In accordance with Official Letter No. 3793/ĐHQGHN-CTHSSV from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi regarding the awarding of the title "Outstanding Young Face of Vietnam National University, Hanoi" in 2012; in order to summarize the emulation movement in learning, working, scientific research, and moral training of students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, and young staff; and to prepare for the consideration and recognition of the title "Outstanding Young Face at the University Level - 2012", the University's Board of Directors requests the Heads of units to conduct the evaluation according to the following standards and implementation schedule:

On the morning of November 7, 2012, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, together with the Vietnam Law Newspaper, organized an exchange program to introduce the Young Writers' Competition.

On October 29, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly held a ceremony to award the Chung-Soo Scholarship from South Korea to 80 students with outstanding academic achievements, students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have strived to study, and student union officials with good academic performance.

On November 5, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a scholarship awarding ceremony for Vietravel scholarships titled "Vietravel accompanies Vietnamese talents". Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University, and Mr. Pham Quang Hung – Director of Vietravel's Northern branch.

That was the theme of the cultural exchange program commemorating Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20th, organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with HASTEC Company and Hanoi Radio and Television Station on October 18th, 2012.

On October 17, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and AEON Group (Japan) officially signed a cooperation agreement and awarded the first 15 scholarships to the university's students.

"Melody of Life" is an English singing competition launched by the English Club of the Faculty of International Studies, aiming to create a new, yet familiar and practical English-speaking platform for students, while also contributing to the promotion of cultural and artistic activities among students.

From August 11th to 17th, 2012, the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) collaborated with Korean charitable organizations to participate in volunteer activities in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam.

"Talent Showcase for K57" - a competition for new students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - was held on September 27, 2012 at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center.

In accordance with the work plan for the 2012-2013 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Me Tri Health Station, organized health check-ups for students of the QH-2012-X cohort.
